  • Publication number: 20070016455
Abstract: A computer-aided method including: generating output with a computer system by processing input data and thereby producing at least one of the group including: an illustration including a party without an insurable interest in a life insured by a COLI (corporate-owned life insurance) policy, wherein the party receives an assignment of an interest in a policy benefit, a performance report of a transaction that corresponds to the assignment, and a forecast of at least one of earnings and cash flow of an assignor of the interest in the policy, and a forecast of cash flow of the party that receives the assignment, the forecasts using transaction experience data.

  • Publication number: 20050217223
Abstract: A biohazard safety enclosure or workstation particularly adapted for enclosing automated instrumentation includes a chamber defined by front, back, top, bottom, and opposed end walls; a HEPA filter across an air inlet opening into the chamber, and an airflow means to direct air horizontally through at least part of the chamber between the end walls. Preferably, the workstation has a second HEPA filter across an air outlet opening in the work chamber, with the airflow means including a conduit extending from the air outlet opening to the air inlet opening. A fan draws air through the conduit. All of the air can be exhausted from the workstation, or a part of the filtered air can be exhausted from the workstation and replenished through a make-up air inlet into the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20050164622
Abstract: The present invention relates to controlled airflow and air distribution within a laboratory safety enclosure and in particular, to turbulence-free airflow within a laboratory fume hood. The fume hood of the present invention has a work chamber and an access opening having an upper edge. A horizontal air deflector structure is positioned adjacent to the upper edge of the access opening to divert a portion of air entering the access opening upwardly within the chamber, whereby the diverted air eliminates an airflow eddy current.

  • Publication number: 20050137967
Abstract: A system and process linking an external computer with a system of a lending institution, a market information vendor or brokerage company, to provide for simultaneous tracking of one or more investments by a Plan to ensure each Plan's investment provides adequate collateral for the lender. Further, the system provides access to Plan component values via electronic means to the various parties of interest; the Plan participant, the Plan administrator, the Plan lender, and the Plan sponsor. Finally, the system creates forecasts of a Plan using assumptions to enable a reader of the illustration to understand the employee participant and employer sponsor benefits and costs of the program.

  • Publication number: 20050022487
Abstract: A biological safety cabinet includes a work chamber having a contaminated air discharge opening, a fan enclosure above the work chamber, a conduit extending from the chamber air outlet to the top of the fan enclosure, a first HEPA filter in the top of the fan enclosure, a second HEPA filter between the fan enclosure and the work chamber, and a fan within the fan enclosure to convey air through the conduit from and the first HEPA filter into the fan enclosure, and to discharge air under positive pressure from the fan enclosure through the exhaust port and through the second HEPA filter into the work chamber. Due to the construction of the cabinet, the fan can be repaired or replaced without the need to observe biohazard procedures.
