  • Publication number: 20210191069
Abstract: A liquid lens includes an orientation sensor such as a gyroscope to compensate for the effects of motion. A raw gyroscope signal, including noise components, can be provided to the controller without processing by phase-shifting filters. One or more filters can be applied to the raw gyroscope signal to allow a band of frequencies to pass without introducing phase delay. The controller can use a feed forward system to generate control output signals based at least in part on the raw gyroscope signal, including noise components. The control output signals can be used to drive voltage signals to electrodes to compensate for motion.

  • Publication number: 20210187819
Abstract: Films and articles are described comprising a microstructured surface having an array of peak structures and adjacent valleys. For improved cleanability, the valleys preferably have a maximum width ranging from 10 microns to 250 microns and the peak structures have a side wall angle greater than 10 degrees. The peak structures may comprise two or more facets such as in the case of a linear array of prisms or an array of cube-corners elements. The facets form continuous or semi-continuous surfaces in the same direction. The valleys typically lack intersecting walls. Also described are methods of making and methods of use. The microstructured surface of the article can be prepared by various microreplication techniques such as coating, injection molding, embossing, laser etching, extrusion, casting and curing a polymerizable resin; and bonding microstructured film to a surface or article with an adhesive.

  • Publication number: 20210187304
Abstract: A method for subcutaneously treating pain in a patient includes first providing a neurostimulator with an IPG body and at least a primary, a secondary, and a tertiary integral lead with electrodes disposed thereon. A primary incision is opened to expose the subcutaneous region below the dermis in a selected portion of the body. A pocket is then opened for the IPG through the primary incision and the integral leads are inserted through the primary incision and routed subcutaneously to desired nerve regions along desired paths. The IPG is disposed in the pocket through the primary incision. The primary incision is then closed and the IPG and the electrodes activated to provide localized stimulation to the desired nerve regions and at least three of the nerves associated therewith to achieve a desired pain reduction response from the patient.

  • Publication number: 20210194229
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a round floor grommet and a rectangular floor grommet. These floor grommets can be constructed in any desired shape other than round or rectangular. Frame portions that hold foam pieces are joined together to form a primary slit in the floor grommet. Cross slits can also be formed in the foam material. The foam is a semi-closed cell foam that is constructed from PVC and nitrile butadiene rubber which has superior sealing effects since the foam can conform around objects passing through the slits in the floor grommet and seal any flow of air through the slits.
