  • Patent number: 6951342
Abstract: A stroller includes a leg unit, a seat frame mounted on the leg unit, a backrest frame pivoted to the seat frame, and a positioning mechanism including a base pivoted to the leg unit, a rail unit formed on the backrest frame, a slide unit mounted slidably on the rail unit, a first engaging unit secured to the base, and a second engaging unit secured to the backrest frame. The slide unit is slidable on the rail unit between an engaging position, in which the second engaging unit engages the first engaging unit, and a disengaging position, in which the second engaging unit disengages from the first engaging unit.

  • Publication number: 20050194755
Abstract: A stroller has a direction-limiting device including a direction-limiting element movable relative to a stroller frame between a limiting position, where the direction-limiting element is inserted into a limiting hole in a wheel-supporting member of a wheel unit so as to prevent rotation of the wheel-supporting member relative to the stroller frame, and a release position, where the direction-limiting element is removed from the limiting hole so as to permit the rotation of the wheel-supporting member relative to the stroller frame. A control device includes an adjusting member disposed on an upper portion of a handle unit of the stroller frame, and a pull cord disposed between the adjusting member and the direction-limiting element. The adjusting member is operable to move the direction-limiting element between the limiting position and the release position.

  • Patent number: 6938300
Abstract: A wheel assembly for a stroller includes a wheel with a rim that has two vertical side surfaces and a vertical central plane. A vertical pivot shaft is disposed within a mounting space in the wheel, is located in the central plane, and extends through a fixed seat that is adapted to be mounted fixedly to a stroller frame and that is attached to a rotatable seat. A wheel seat is connected to the wheel and the rotatable seat so as to permit rotation of the wheel and the wheel seat about the vertical pivot shaft.

  • Patent number: 6793292
Abstract: A seat device includes a safety bar which is connected to two lateral wing members of a seat body by insertion of two insert plugs into two mounting sockets, respectively. A lever plate is pivoted to each socket and is turnable such that an engaging end thereof engages a concavity in the corresponding plug to place the safety bar in an engaged state. Pressing an opposite actuating end of the lever plate will cause the engaging end to disengage from the concavity so as to permit removal of the plug from the socket.

  • Patent number: 6742791
Abstract: A stroller includes a frame assembly with a pedal-mounting rod, on which a brake pedal is mounted rotatably. When the brake pedal is turned downward, a coupling mechanism activates two resilient elements to bias two brake pins to project from two pin holes in two mounting seats. At this time, in case the brake pins are aligned with two of a plurality of brake holes in two rear wheels, they are biased into the two brake holes. In case the brake pins are deflected from all of the brake holes, they are biased to press against the surfaces of the rear wheels. Under such conditions, the rear wheels are rotated slowly by pushing the stroller so as to permit the brake pins to be biased into two of the brake holes.

  • Patent number: 6722690
Abstract: A foldable stroller includes a positioning member disposed fixedly on one inclined lower rod of a front wheel unit, and a guideway member disposed fixedly on one inclined upper rod of a handle unit. A resilient element biases an abutment surface of a sliding element to engage a positioning surface of the positioning member, thereby locking the handle unit releaseably on the front wheel unit. The abutment surface and the positioning surface are inclined with respect to the longitudinal directions of the upper and lower rods. Actuation of a connecting element results in separation of the abutment surface from the positioning surface, thereby permitting folding of the handle unit on the front wheel unit.

  • Patent number: 6581957
Abstract: A foldable stroller includes a main frame with two front legs and two suspending rods pivoted, to the front legs to be turnable between folded and unfolded positions. Two handle rods are pivoted to two linking levers which are mounted pivotally to the suspending rods so as to be turnable relative to the main frame. A guarding rail has two pivoted ends pivoted to the handle rods. A backrest frame has two lower stile ends pivoted to the linking levers. A holding member is secured to the guarding rail and the backrest frame. Thus, when the handle rods are pushed forward, downward movement of the guarding rail induces a force to the holding member so as to fold the backrest frame.

  • Publication number: 20030057669
Abstract: A stroller includes a front leg unit, first and second shock absorbing units, and a bridging member. The first shock absorbing unit includes an upper seat member that is connected to the front leg unit via the bridging member, and a pair of lower movable members that are connected to a front wheel unit and that are movable in a second axis toward and away from the upper seat member so as to absorb shock transmitted from the front wheel unit in the second axis when an external force is applied to the front wheel unit. The second shock absorbing unit includes at least one urging member that abuts against the bridging member and the upper seat member so as to oscillate between compression and extension strokes and so as to absorb shock transmitted from the front wheel unit in a third axis that is perpendicular to the second axis when the external force is applied to the front wheel unit.
