  • Patent number: 9364156
Abstract: A blood pressure measurement device includes a cuff, inflation/deflation unit, pressure detection unit, volume detection unit, and control unit. The control unit determines values of an arterial volume signal detected by the volume detection unit, changes a prescribed control target value from the determined value at a time of diastolic blood pressure to a vicinity of the value at the time of systolic blood pressure during a rise time, changes the prescribed control target value from the determined value at the time of systolic blood pressure to a vicinity of the value at the time of diastolic pressure during a fall time, and adjusts the pressure of the cuff by controlling the inflation/deflation unit such that the volume indicated by the arterial volume signal detected by the volume detection unit matches the prescribed control target value. Thus, by applying a control target value, blood pressure can be measured.

  • Patent number: 8808189
Abstract: A blood pressure measurement device includes a wrapping strength detecting portion for detecting a wrapping strength of a cuff with respect to a measurement site. The wrapping strength detecting portion detects the wrapping strength of the cuff prior to calculation of a blood pressure value by a blood pressure calculation unit. That is, the wrapping strength of the cuff is detected based on a relationship indicated by a volume change ?V12 of the cuff detected with a change in the detection pressure in the cuff wrapped around the measurement site from P1 to P2 and a volume change ?23 of the cuff detected with change from P2 to P3 in a process of controlling the cuff pressure by a pressure adjustment unit.

  • Patent number: 8715197
Abstract: A blood pressure information measurement device instantaneously changes cuff pressure in a specified pressure section in order to detect a control target value in artery volume constant control. An artery volume signal is detected in that period, and an inflection point of the detected artery volume signal is detected by performing differentiation processing or the like. The inflection point of the detected artery volume signal is fixed as the control target value.

  • Patent number: 8568328
Abstract: An electronic sphygmomanometer, which measures blood pressure in accordance with the volume compensation method, detects a cuff pressure inside a cuff attached to a measurement site of the blood pressure. An arterial volume detection circuit detects an arterial volume signal of the measurement site. A drive control unit, after setting the cuff pressure to an initial cuff pressure, servo-controls a cuff pressure adjustment unit so that a volume of an artery becomes constant, based on the detected arterial volume signal. While the servo control is being performed, an arterial volume change amount is detected based on the detected arterial volume signal.

  • Publication number: 20120071768
Abstract: A blood pressure information measurement device includes light emitting elements and light receiving elements as a plurality of pairs of first and second sensors in a cuff. While the cuff pressure is increased, combinations of the plurality of pairs of the light emitting elements and the light receiving elements are switched, and volume pulse waves are obtained from each of the combinations. After increasing the cuff pressure, for each of the volume pulse waves corresponding to the combinations, a specific volume value at a point where the amount of volume change becomes maximal is extracted. Thereafter, based on values corresponding to the maximum and minimum blood pressure and the specific volume value, the sensors for measurement are determined.
