  • Patent number: 5685743
Abstract: A connector housing for an air bag connector and a method for contacting an air bag connector. A connector housing having at least two sections is provided with locking elements for a pre-lock-in position and a final lock-in position. In the pre-lock-in position, both sections of the housing are arranged apart from one another and the pre-lock-in position is localized by means of a spacer to maintain the pre-lock-in position maintain at a predetermined distance so that electric conductors can be introduced into the connector housing. The spacer ensures that the connector housing is not inadvertently pressed from the pre-lock-in position to the final lock-in position. The connector housing can be pressed together for an insulation-piercing contact in the connector housing, and locked in the final lock-in position. The connector housing is furthermore provided with a belt arrangement, with the spacer being of a one-piece design with one of the elements of the belt arrangement.

  • Patent number: 5211009
Abstract: A method for regeneration of a particulate filter in which the attainment of a stable idling operating condition of the diesel engine is waited for, at least within a specifiable time period after the starting of the diesel engine, rotation-speed signals of the diesel engine being registered in the specifiable time period, before a control device registers and evaluates further operating values and outputs control commands to devices of the particulate-filter system in order to insure reliable burning off of soot particles deposited in the particulate filter and prevent damage to the particulate filter due to incorrect control actions.

  • Patent number: 5186638
Abstract: For the purposes of connecting and joining conductive traces on printed circuit boards, the stripped ends of a flexible multi-conductor flat cable are inserted into metallized openings in the printed circuit boards. The cables are cut to length and their ends are stripped of insulation and supported in an injection molded bar member. Those ends are desirably not to be bent in storage and transportation. In order to protect them, a U-shaped device is pushed onto the bar member over the cable ends. The bottom plate portion of the device has holes of a conical configuration. In a transportation position the ends are disposed within the walls of those holes and are held therein. The device latches in the transportation position. For the ends to be inserted into the holes in the printed circuit board the device is pushed further onto the cable ends in an operative position. As such, the ends pass in a guided fashion through the holes in the bottom plate portion and into the holes in the printed circuit board.
