Abstract: A first service session is facilitated via a packet switched network, wherein user equipment participates in a first interactive communication exchange with a first agent via a first interaction mode, wherein the first interactive communication exchange is based on a user inquiry. The first interactive communication exchange is monitored and a determination is made that a consultation service would facilitate resolution of the user inquiry. A service resource is associated with the first service session responsive to the determining that the consultation service would facilitate the resolution, wherein the service resource provides consultation to the first agent via a second interaction mode of the plurality of interaction modes, without exposing the consultation to the user equipment, and wherein the consultation elevates an experience level employed in the first service session towards resolution of the user inquiry. Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, associating a first resource of a plurality of service resources with a first service session, wherein the first resource participates in an interactive communication exchange with user equipment via the first service session and according to a first communication mode of a plurality of communication modes. An evaluation of a benefit of associating another resource of the plurality of service resources with the interactive communication exchange is performed. A second resource of the plurality of service resources is identified responsive to the evaluating of the benefit and the second resource is associated with the first service session. The cloud computing system also can include a virtual resource layer. The virtual resource layer can include a virtual network function that provides, at least in part, a service. The cloud computing system also can include a hardware resource layer. The hardware resource layer can include a hardware resource that is controlled by a virtualization layer. The virtualization layer can cause the virtual network function to be instantiated on the hardware resource so that the virtual network function can be used to support the service.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for creating and using service control functions. The service control functions can detect a message via an adapter function. The message can relate to a service controlled by the service control functions. Service policies can be accessed. The service policies can include message handling policies and can be accessed to determine if a policy relating to the message exists. If a determination is made that the policy exists, the message and the policy can be analyzed to determine an action to take with respect to the message, and the action can be initiated.

An example method includes a processor receiving a request comprising an origin location and a destination location, determining a flight path based on the origin location and the destination location, wherein the flight path is determined based on at least one policy driven control rule, providing the flight path in response to the request and monitoring an unmanned aerial vehicle traversing the flight path.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating a custom service in a communication network are disclosed. For example, the method implemented via a processor determines that the custom service does not exist, receives one or more desired functions for the custom service, creates the custom service having the one or more desired functions and modifies one or more network elements within the communication network to perform the one or more desired functions to deploy the custom service.

Abstract: Software Defined Networking (SDN) is used in IMS in order to provide a mechanism to forward (Internet Protocol) IP packets and provide a simplified solution to the complex signaling path of IMS according to directives from an SDN Controller. SDN is used in at least three particular scenarios. In the first scenario, communications are simplified using SDN directed signaling disaggregation. In the second scenario, SDN is used to direct media function chaining. In the third scenario, the system can be used as an SDN based media relay.

Abstract: A persona determination approach can be utilized to apply digital personas across multiple communications domains. A service gateway can determine whether to transfer a request for communications services to a Persona Determination Mechanism (PDM). The PDM can select a digital persona based on available information and transmit the digital persona to the service gateway. The service gateway can process the communications services based on the selected digital persona or based on the determination not to transfer the request. In some methods, the service gateway can forward the processed request to one or more network elements for further processing. Related systems are also disclosed.
