  • Patent number: 9299158
Abstract: Generating an analysis of a motion is disclosed. A first computing device receives image data that includes a set of user images. Each user image in the set corresponds to a stage of a plurality of consecutive stages of the motion and depicts a user at the corresponding stage. For each stage of the plurality of consecutive stages, a plurality of motion point locations in the corresponding user image is determined. Based on the plurality of motion point locations and reference motion data associated with a reference motion, a user motion report is generated.

  • Publication number: 20160077028
Abstract: A humidity sensor may include a first substrate having a recess formed in a first side, a second substrate and an insulating layer supported by the second substrate. The second substrate and the insulating layer may be supported by the first side of the first substrate and extend over the recess to form a diaphragm with the insulating layer facing the recess. The diaphragm may be at least partially thermally isolated from a remainder of the second substrate. A resistive heater element may be supported by the diaphragm. A pair of sensing electrodes are electrically separated from each other and supported by the diaphragm. A sensing material is disposed over the pair of sensing electrodes, wherein an electrical property of the sensing material changes in response to a change in moisture content of the sensing material.

  • Publication number: 20160075419
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a trimmable pod drive assembly that includes a pod drive unit having a transmission assembly secured to a steering unit, a gear case assembly coupled to and rotatable by the steering unit about a steering axis, and a propeller rotatable about a propeller driveshaft axis extending through the gear case assembly so as to generate thrust along a thrust vector. The trimmable pod drive assembly further includes a trim assembly secured to the pod drive unit in a manner allowing for rotation of the pod drive unit about a trim axis that is substantially perpendicular to the steering axis, wherein actuation of at least one component of the trim assembly causes movement of the pod drive unit and the thrust vector about the trim axis.

  • Patent number: 9267857
Abstract: A pressure sensor having a diaphragm having a boss with a pattern. The diaphragm having a boss may be regarded as a bossed diaphragm. The bossed diaphragm may have higher sensitivity than a flat plate diaphragm having the same area as the bossed diaphragm. The bossed diaphragm may incorporate a simple cross pattern that can further improve the sensitivity and linearity of a pressure response of the diaphragm at low pressures. Reduction of sharp edges and corners of the boss and its legs around the periphery of the diaphragm may reduce high stress points and thus increase the burst pressure rating of the bossed diaphragm.

  • Patent number: 9266580
Abstract: Various embodiments of reduced-size vehicles such as all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and utility vehicles (UVs) are disclosed herein. In at least some embodiments, the vehicles include frames that are wider near the front and rear sections of the vehicles than within the mid-sections of the vehicles. This, in combination with the use of shock-absorbers that are substantially vertically oriented, allows for the opening-up of large interior cavities within the front and rear sections of the vehicles within which can be positioned large front and rear internal compartments that can provide storage/carrying capacity as well as added buoyancy for the vehicle, among other things. Also, in at least some embodiments, the vehicles can include special cooling and/or exhaust systems having components that are positioned substantially within the mid-sections of the vehicles, thus further increasing the amounts of space available for the cavities/compartments within the front and rear sections of the vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20160040210
Abstract: An automated system for identifying in a biological sample microorganisms and their antimicrobial susceptibility (AST). The system provided an automated platform for preparing, from a single biological sample, inoculates for both ID and AST. The system loads a plate for ID testing as samples are being prepared for AST testing. The system tracks the sample and the inoculates from the samples to link the test results to the sample and the patients from whom the sample was obtained.
