Patent number: 11926497Abstract: Systems and associated methods for controlling operation of loading dock equipment are described herein. In some embodiments, the system and associated methods can be used to control operation of loading dock equipment (e.g., a vehicle restraint, a dock door, a dock leveler, etc.) according to a sequence of operations. The sequence of operations can include different sub-sequences based on loading dock conditions. The system can include a display screen that sequentially presents a series of control elements that enable operation of the loading dock equipment. Additionally, the visual appearance and/or sequence of presentation of the control elements indicate the proper sequence of selection to the user, thereby reducing user confusion and simplifying the operation of the loading dock equipment. Some functionality of the control panel can be enabled or disabled based on a current level of authorization.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2022Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: ASSA ABLOY ENTRANCE SYSTEMS ABInventors: Richard K. Publication number: 20170252523Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for sealing a nebulizer's liquid reservoir. A nebulizer liquid reservoir may be provided that is in fluid communication with an aerosol generator. The nebulizer liquid reservoir may have an open end and a headspace. A cap may be placed on the open end of the nebulizer liquid reservoir, wherein the cap partially fills the headspace of the nebulizer liquid reservoir. The cap can include a plunger that passes through the cap and allows for air to escape from the headspace of the nebulizer liquid reservoir through the cap. The cap can seal the nebulizer liquid reservoir by actuating the plunger to a locked position. The plunger may create an airtight seal with the cap when in the locked position. An ambient pressure may be maintained in the sealed nebulizer liquid reservoir until a portion of the liquid is dispensed.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 18, 2017Publication date: September 7, 2017Applicant: Nektar TherapeuticsInventors: David Blakey, Richard Day

Publication number: 20150231340Abstract: Various arrangements for determining an atomization element of a nebulizer is dry are presented. The vibratable element of the nebulizer may be energized with an electrical signal that sweeps from a first frequency to a second frequency. While energizing the vibratable element of the nebulizer with the electrical signal that sweeps from the first frequency to the second frequency, a sequence of impedance values of the vibratable element of the nebulizer may be measured. The sequence of impedance values of the vibratable element of the nebulizer may be analyzed to determine if the atomization element of the nebulizer is wet or dry.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2012Publication date: August 20, 2015Inventors: Samuel Julius Pumphrey, Montague Fraser Barlow, Andrew Morley, Roger Sewell, Richard Day
