  • Publication number: 20060195843
Abstract: A method and apparatus for scheduling an activity (calibration, repair, maintenance or upgrade of one or more instruments) is described, as well as scheduling an activity regarding an animate object. The method and apparatus includes a timer function that initiates a scan of a transaction database, looking for any transaction that is about to be due, is due or is past due, and upon finding such, initiates a pop-up message at the monitor of an operator that is associated with that transaction, so that the operator will know that they need to perform the associated activity on the associated instrument. Within the pop-up may be a link to directly access a calibration, repair, maintenance or upgrade procedure and possibly a link to a manual for the instrument. When the activity is complete, the operator enters completion information and the transaction record is time-stamped.

  • Publication number: 20050277331
Abstract: A blindmate interconnect coaxial connector includes a center conductor, a thermally-conductive dielectric surrounding the center conductor, and an outer tubular conductor surrounding the dielectric. The dielectric transfers heat from the center conductor to the outer conductor, and the outer conductor includes heat transfer fins to radiate such heat. The center conductor is formed by first and second halves which mate within the axial bore of the dielectric. The outer conductor is formed of two mating sections. The center conductor and surrounding dielectric are inserted within the first mating section, and the second mating section is then mated with the first section to complete the assembly of the connector.

  • Patent number: 6903525
Abstract: A method and apparatus is herein disclosed for determining the motor performance of an electric motor through monitoring the temperature of rotor magnets. The temperature is determined by initially heating the rotor magnets to two known temperatures and subsequently recording the temperature at each known temperature. From the known and recorded temperatures, an offset, if any, is calculated. An actual temperature is then determined from the subsequent temperatures of the magnets and the offset. The actual temperature is then used as a basis to determine the motor performance.
