  • Publication number: 20230402732
Abstract: An antenna unit includes a case having a base and a lid. An antenna assembly is located within the lid and is IP67 compliant, being waterproof. The antenna assembly can provide antennas located on one or more baseplates that are positioned within the top cover of the box. A baseplate can act as a heatsink, a reflector, and/or a ground plane, for the antennas while the cover is closed and in the locked position. The antennas have been designed and optimized to work on a baseplate and designed to operate with the thick plastic cover of the box. A plurality of antenna components are situated within the base separate from the antenna assembly. An optional barrier is located within the base to divide the antenna components from the lid. The antenna assembly include different types of antennas operable at least between 600 MHz to 39 GHz.

  • Patent number: 11817893
Abstract: Radio frequency (RF) acoustic wave resonator (AWR) filter circuits and methods. Embodiments essentially de-couple the stopband or notch characteristics of an RF filter from the passband characteristics. Accordingly, the de-coupled parameters can be individually designed to meet the specifications of a particular application. Partially-hybridized or fully-hybridized series-arm and parallel-arm AWR filter building blocks enable “de-coupled” RF filters having (1) wideband and low insertion loss passbands and (2) wideband deep notches (stopbands) with a specifically placed notch center frequency, without compromising the passband characteristics. The AWR filter building blocks include an inductance L that matches (resonates with) the electrostatic capacitance CO of the corresponding AWR within a desired passband.

  • Publication number: 20230316189
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for performing an experiment for a workforce analytics system. One of the methods includes identifying team members who conduct work using a heterogeneous set of software tools including third party software tools. An experiment group of team members and a control group of team members are identified. Experiment activity data is received from use by the experiment group of the set of heterogeneous software tools and control group activity data is received from use by the control group of the set of heterogeneous software tools. A metric by which to measure the effect of a process change is identified. The effect of the process change is determined according to the metric and based on the experiment activity data and the control group activity data. Action is taken based on the effect of the process change.

  • Patent number: 11776285
Abstract: An authentication method includes receiving, at a processor, a signal representing an image of a serialization code and multiple flecks of a label, the flecks having a random distribution. The processor detects the serialization code and applies a modification to the image to produce a modified image. A subset of flecks of the modified image is detected, and metrics associated with each fleck from the subset of flecks are identified. The identified metrics are compared with metrics associated with a unique signature, and a message is displayed, via a user interface, indicating an authenticity of the label based on the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20230287741
Abstract: A rotary drill bit for use with a horizontal directional drill string. A coupler at a proximal axial end is configured to attach the rotary drill bit to a drill head at a distal end of the drill string. A cutting portion at a distal axial end is provided with a plurality of vanes with respective cutters that operate to cut a hole in earth when the rotary drill bit is rotated about a central axis. The plurality of vanes project radially outwardly from a surface of the cutting portion such that the surface forms respective troughs circumferentially interspersed with the plurality of vanes. A plurality of engagement features is positioned axially within the cutting portion and radially inward of an outer cutting diameter to facilitate attachment of a product pullback device between the plurality of vanes without removing the rotary drill bit, or any portion thereof, from the drill head.

  • Publication number: 20230272679
Abstract: A drill string joint includes a box end member defining, at a first axial end thereof, a first bore and a second deeper bore of smaller cross section than the first bore. A pin end member defines a first insertion portion corresponding to the first bore and a second insertion portion corresponding to the second bore. A conical tapered surface interface is defined between the second insertion portion and the second bore. Cross pins extend through apertures formed through the box end member, at the first bore, and the first insertion portion, within an axial span of the joint separate from an axial span in which the conical tapered surface interface of the second insertion portion and the second bore is defined. A torque coupling is established between the box end member and the pin end member at an axial position between the separate axial spans.

  • Publication number: 20230217915
Abstract: A lightweight barrier insert door is attached to an enclosure, such as a shipping container that holds a product to be fumigated, such as during transport of the product to a new location. The barrier insert door fits within the doorway of the container to provide a sealed barrier to mitigate leakage of a fumigant from the interior of the container. The barrier also includes air intake ports to maintain the structural integrity of the container and to provide ambient air to the interior. Additional ports allow for connection for fumigant entry, monitoring, and/or an exhaust hose to be connected to or through the barrier for the fumigation process. • Publication number: 20230218607
Abstract: During clinical trials on patients suffering from neurological disorders, it has been observed that some patients obtain dramatic improvements in motor control and/or higher mental functioning, when they receive a combination of dextromethorphan and quinidine, at suitable dosages. Improved motor control has been exemplified to date by improved ability to swallow and/or speak, among victims of stroke, head injury, or ALS. Improved higher mental functioning has been exemplified in better job performance, increased ability to analyze and solve problems, and increased ability to have successful and satisfying interactions with other people. These types of effects can be seen in a relatively brief time period, such as within several days to a week.

  • Patent number: 11673693
Abstract: Systems and methods for manufacturing aircraft are disclosed. For example, a method for repetitively manufacturing aircraft comprises fractionally pulsing a constituent part down an assembly line by periodically advancing the constituent part down the assembly line by less than a length of the constituent part. The periodic advancing may include advancing the aircraft component by a pulse length that is less than the length of the aircraft component, stopping movement of the aircraft component for a duration and performing work on the aircraft component, and then advancing the aircraft component by the pulse length again. In another example, a method comprises determining a fractional pulse length to fractionally pulse one or more constituent parts of an aircraft based on one or more of a minimum workstation length of one or more assembly line workstations and a minimum section length of one or more work processes to be performed.
