  • Publication number: 20240137129
Abstract: Techniques for driving a directly modulated laser whilst correcting non-linearities an optical output waveform, based on generating a modulating current waveform that approximates an ideal modulating current that produces a linear optical output waveform. The techniques enable useful, practical approximations to the ideal modulating current to be determined.

  • Patent number: 11928218
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) enforced blocklisting of harmful applications are described. In one embodiment, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor and a BIOS coupled to the processor, the BIOS having program instructions that, upon execution, cause the IHS to download an Unsafe Application List (UAL) from an online source, and during a bootstrap process of the IHS, compare a plurality of Applications (Apps) installed on the IHS against a list of harmful applications included in a UAL. When a harmful application is found by the comparison, the instructions enforce one or more policies to restrict the harmful application from being executed on the IHS.

  • Patent number: 11918649
Abstract: Provided herein are PD-L1 binding molecules comprising or conjugated to a toxin, e.g. a Shiga toxin A Subunit derived polypeptide. In some embodiments, the PD-L1 binding molecules are cytotoxic. In some embodiments, the PD-L1 binding molecules are capable of delivering a CD8+ T-cell epitope to an MHC class molecule inside a PD-L1 positive cell. The PD-L1 binding molecules described herein have uses for selectively killing specific cells (e.g., PD-L1 positive tumor cells and/or immune cells); for selectively delivering cargos to specific cells (e.g., PD-L1 positive tumor cells or immune cells), and as therapeutic and/or diagnostic molecules for treating and diagnosing a variety of conditions, including cancers and tumors involving PD-L1 expressing cells (e.g., PD-L1 positive tumor cells or immune cells).

  • Publication number: 20230188544
Abstract: Systems for, and methods of, detecting an attack on an optical communication channel are presented. The techniques can include sending, from a sender to a receiver, and over the optical communication channel, an optical signal, where the optical signal includes a classical optical signal representing first information and a quantum optical signal representing second information. The techniques can include detecting, by the receiver, third information from at least a portion of the quantum optical signal and sending, by the receiver to the sender, the third information. The techniques can include determining, by the sender, an indication of an attack on the optical communication channel based on at least a portion of the second information and the third information. The techniques can include triggering an alarm based on the determining.

  • Publication number: 20220100976
Abstract: An RFID system comprises an array of antennas each configured to emit a plurality of beams in different directions. The beams of each pair of adjacent antennas are directed towards one another and overlap. A pair of adjacent antennas transmits simultaneously and the overlapping beams interfere to create an interference pattern. An RFID reader controls the relative phase and/or frequency of the beams to move the interference pattern to read an RFID tag within the moving pattern. As the chance of a RFID tag responding to an emitted beam generally increases with signal strength of the reader beam an area of constructive interference means that RFID tags in that region are more likely to respond to the signal. The system can cover a large proportion of the area below ceiling-mounted antennas, where cover generally means that RFID tags in that area will be successfully read.

  • Patent number: 11055385
Abstract: A multi-factor user authentication framework using asymmetric key includes a host device, a user agent, a gesture system, and an authentication system. The multiple factors include a user credential as well as a user gesture that indicates that the user is present. The user interacts with the user agent via the host device in order to obtain access to something for which user authentication is needed. The authentication system maintains the user credentials, which are provided to authenticate the user in response to the authentication system determining that the user is present (which can be determined in different manners, such as using a personal identification number (PIN), biometric information regarding the user, geographic location of the gesture system, etc.). The user agent, gesture system, and authentication system can be implemented on the same device (e.g., the host device), or alternatively implemented across one or more different devices.

  • Patent number: 10982471
Abstract: A latch system includes an actuation module having first and second actuation mechanisms. The first actuation mechanism includes a first handle, a lock tab and an inner rod coupled together. The second actuation mechanism includes at least one second handle, a conversion block and an outer rod coupled together with the outer rod and the conversion block each having a slot. At least one latch module has a retractable latch. A control cable connects the conversion block and the latch module such that rotation of the conversion block in a first direction retracts the latch. A lock is operably engagable with the lock tab to selectively allow and prevent rotation of the inner rod. Rotation of the inner rod in the first direction rotates the conversion block. Rotation of the outer rod in the first direction rotates the conversion block without rotating the inner rod.

  • Patent number: 10397199
Abstract: A system for creating an account with an identity provider. The system receives a request to create an identity provider account with the identity provider for use in logging onto a third-party system. The system generates one or more display pages for providing an integrated-consent user experience. The integrated-consent user experience includes a display page for collecting both new-account information and scope-of-consent information whereby a user consents to share information with the third-party system. After the user provides the new-account information that includes user credentials for the identity provider account and consents to share account information of the identity provider account with the third-party system, the system creates the identity provider account for the user.

  • Patent number: 10389706
Abstract: A method and system for authenticating a user is provided. In some embodiments, a security system determines whether the time since the last authentication was successful is less than a recycle telephone number period (e.g., the minimum time before which a telephone number might be assigned to a new user). If the time is less than the recycle telephone number period, the security system performs a primary authentication of the user based on a telephone number received from the user. When the primary authentication is successful, the security system indicates that the user has been authenticated. When the time is not less than a recycle telephone number period, the security system performs a secondary authentication of the user. When the secondary authentication is successful, the security system indicates that the user has been authenticated.
