A wearable mask is coupled to a positive airway pressure machine to deliver a flow of gas to the patient. An impedance sensor attached to the wearable mask measures the IPG and/or BR waveform. The sensor features a first drive electrode that injects a first electrical current into the region, and a first sense electrode that measures an electrical signal related to the first electrical current and blood flow in the region. A processing system runs computer code configured to: 1) receive a digital representation of the time-dependent impedance waveform; and 2) process the digital representation, or a signal calculated therefrom, to determine the parameter.

The deformable solid may be configured to deform so as to substantially cover a sensing surface of the pressure sensing diaphragm to create a barrier between the pressure sensing diaphragm and a measured media. In addition, the deformable solid may fluidly couple the measured media to the pressure sensing diaphragm such that in an instance in which a force is applied to the deformable solid by the measured media the force is transmitted to the pressure sensing diaphragm.

The mission monitor may remotely and wirelessly receive flight, pilot, aircraft, and operator information. In one embodiment the system determines current aircraft configuration against an expected aircraft configuration to detect configuration errors, and then utilize configuration errors and error trends to manage aircraft configuration and mission operation. The system may divert the aircraft to the best available landing sites or reconfigure the aircraft to resolve configuration errors.
