Abstract: A system and apparatus assists pilots and flight crews in determining the best course of action at any particular point inflight for any category of emergency. The system monitors a plurality of static and dynamic flight parameters including atmospheric conditions along the flight path, ground conditions and terrain, conditions aboard the aircraft, and pilot/crew data. Based on these parameters, the system may provide continually updated information to the pilot or crew about the best available landing sites or recommend solutions to aircraft configuration errors. In case of emergency, the system may provide the pilot with procedure sets associated with a hierarchy of available emergency landing sites (or execute these procedure sets via the autopilot system) depending on the specific nature of the emergency.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention generally relate to identity authentication and/or recognition. Some embodiments provide a method for determining when a user may engage in a restricted activity, including engaging in an initial contact with a user via a medium for exchange, receiving a request to engage in an activity, determining an activity trust threshold required for the activity, determining an initial identity trust score for the user, and comparing the initial identity trust score with the activity trust threshold. Based on the comparison, the user is either allowed to engage in the activity, rejected from engaging in the activity, or additional identifying information is collected.

Abstract: A method and device for accurately monitoring, displaying, and remote reporting of turbulent material flow streams in confined channels and pipes is provided. The device can have multiple cams coupled to an obstruction, and a spring. The multiple cams can have a cam profile, and the cam profile and the spring may be selected to linearize a rotation of the obstruction over a range of fluid flow velocities. The obstruction can include have multiple obstructions each in a different area of a cross-section of a pipe, improving the accuracy of the device.
