  • Publication number: 20200129897
Abstract: A filter base for receiving a mating filter housing assembly having a base platform having fluid ingress and egress stanchions, and a wire harness assembly including a connector housing integral with or connected to the base platform for establishing an electrical connection between the filter base and the mating filter housing assembly. The wire harness assembly having conductors extending between first and second connectors, with one or more resilient contacts provided on the second connector. The contacts are flexible from a first position to a second position when curved contact sections of the one or more contacts engage a mating connection surface of the complementary mating filter housing assembly. The mating connection surface may be a circuit pad of a printed circuit board, wherein the contact curved contact sections are configured to be positioned in mechanical and electrical engagement with the circuit pads when the filter housing assembly is received within the filter base.

  • Patent number: 10558436
Abstract: A method and apparatus for dynamically composing applications is presented. A computer system identifies a set of parameters based on user input. The computer system then activates a portion of a plurality of capsules stored in a data storage to form a set of activated capsules based on the set of parameters. Further, the computer composes an application in real-time using a base capsule and the set of activated capsules in which the application is specifically tailored for a particular state. The application and the plurality of capsules take up a reduced amount of memory space.

  • Publication number: 20190220604
Abstract: A computing system and method to implement a three-dimensional virtual reality world having user created virtual objects. During the creation of a virtual object, a user of the virtual reality world identifies components and/or resources of the virtual object, such as a mesh model defining the shape of the virtual object, an image specifying the appearance of the virtual object, and a script defining the run time behavior of the virtual object. The computer system examines the components and/or resources duration the creation process of the virtual object to detect and/or address security threats and/or performance hurdles. Before the approval of the publication of the virtual object in the virtual world, the computer system performs a simulation of the rendering of the virtual object to detect security threats and evaluate performance impacts.

  • Publication number: 20180330110
Abstract: A computing system and method to implement a three-dimensional virtual reality world having user created virtual objects. A platonic object identifies a list of objects as different versions of the platonic object. Each respective object has: a blueprint identifying resource objects that are used to construct the respective object in the virtual reality world; and a provenance node identifying the platonic object of the respective object, a creator of the respective object, and a set of access control parameters of the respective object. A server computer hosting the virtual reality world control access to instances of the platonic object according to access control parameters stored in the tree of provenance nodes for the objects connected via the blueprints and the platonic object.

  • Publication number: 20180315254
Abstract: A computing system and method to generate an avatar wearing multiple layers of clothing. For each clothing model acquired for the avatar, the system generates a customized clothing model based on transforming the original clothing model for fitting on the avatar based on deforming and physical simulation and a reduced clothing model based on collapsing the customized clothing model on the body of the avatar such that applying the reduced clothing model is simplified as painting the texture of the reduced clothing model onto the avatar model. Wearing the inner layers of the clothing by avatar is computed by applying the texture of the corresponding reduced clothing model on the body of the avatar in a sequence from inside layers to outside layers. The customized clothing model of the outermost layer is combined with the avatar wearing the inner layers to generate the avatar wearing the multiple layers of clothing.

  • Publication number: 20180315253
Abstract: A computing system and method to generate an avatar wearing a piece of clothing. Given a generic clothing model acquired for the avatar, the system generates a customized clothing model based on uniformly scaling the generic clothing model according to a size of the avatar, identifies one or more edges or boundaries of the clothing, deforms a clothing mesh of the scaled clothing model at the one or more edges by stretching and/or shrinking the edges, and performs a physical simulation of fitting the deformed clothing model on the avatar to generate a fitted clothing model for the avatar. User interfaces can be optionally provided to interactively adjust the scaling, deforming, and/or physical simulation of the clothing models.

  • Patent number: 10019242
Abstract: A method of generating a user interface. A user interface of tiles is displayed, the tiles represent building blocks. A tangible input device is used to manipulate the building blocks in the user interface by combining a first building block and a second building block. Metadata describing the first building block and the second building block is retrieved. A database is queried to retrieve data indicated by the metadata as being needed to build an application. The data is bound to the browser page. Rules are generated, the rules needed to create, using the data, the application from a combination of the first building block and the second building block. Code useable to execute the rules is obtained and the code is loaded into the browser. The code is combined into the application, wherein the user does not provide the code.

  • Patent number: 9946449
Abstract: A media item is presented via a media player, the media player configured to receive the media item, the media item being associated with a format and including an audio component. Responsive to a change in a display mode associated with the media player, a second media player is identified that is configured to receive a corresponding media item, the corresponding media item being associated with a second format and including a second audio component that matches the audio component. A particular location is determined in the media item to cease presentation of the media item via the media player and a corresponding location in the corresponding media item to begin presentation of the corresponding media item using the second media player. Responsive to reaching the particular location, concurrently, presentation of the media item is ceased and presentation of the corresponding media item at the corresponding location is begun.

  • Patent number: 9701561
Abstract: Hollow ingots of transparent synthetic vitreous silica glass of external diameter greater than 400 mm and internal diameter greater than 300 mm are disclosed. The ingots are substantially free from bubbles or inclusions greater than 100 ?m in diameter, have no more than 100 ppB of any individual metallic impurity, and have chlorine concentration less than 5 ppM. Also disclosed are methods for producing such ingots, in which a porous soot body of density greater than 0.4 g/cm3 is deposited on an oxidation resistant mandrel. The soot body is dehydrated on a mandrel comprising graphite, carbon fiber reinforced carbon, silicon carbide, silicon impregnated silicon carbide, silicon carbide-coated graphite or vitreous silica, either under vacuum or in the presence of a reducing gas, and then sintered to transparent pore-free glass under vacuum or in an atmosphere of helium.

  • Patent number: 9641411
Abstract: Aspects and implementations of the present disclosure are directed to methods of and systems for estimating latent demand with user prioritization. The estimated latent demand may be used to identify potential increases in usage of a networked computer service that could be realized by provisioning additional resources. A sub-set of the user base is provided a communication quality of service enhancement simulating provisioning of additional resources. Estimated latent usage demand is then determined by comparing the networked computer service usage by the user base receiving the enhancement with usage by a user base not receiving the enhancement.
