  • Patent number: 6311534
Abstract: A roll forming apparatus is provided having a plurality of roll forming stations arranged in an advancing path and having at least one roll forming station including adjustable top and bottom rolls. The adjustable forming rolls include separate inner and outer sections. The inner roll sections are adjustable transverse to the advancing path in order to shift the position of bend introduction to a workpiece. In a preferred embodiment, each inner roll section cooperates with a backing collar which has preset stops of different heights to quickly and precisely adjust the apparatus to predetermined settings. The apparatus is particularly useful for forming flanges on duct sections where duct sections having different flange heights are desired. The at least one adjustable roll forming station can be used to retrofit existing non-adjustable roll forming apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6279292
Abstract: An integral metal spacer for insulated glass units and method of fabricating the spacer. The spacer defines a substantially closed cross-section contour having a bottom surface, a pair of sidewalls, and a pair of generally abutting inner surfaces. A gap may be defined between the adjacent inner surfaces. The three interior corners are defined by fully mitered sidewalls. A pair of bridges are provided to integrally interconnect the inner surfaces of adjacent spacer segments. The method of fabricating includes taking a roll of flat metal stock and completely punching all corner and other structures therein while the stock is planar; severing the punched stock into individual spacer members; roll-forming the individual members into a finished linear spacer piece; applying desiccant during roll-forming; applying sealant; thereafter folding the elongate member into a square spacer thereby locking the desiccant therein.

  • Patent number: 5532426
Abstract: A switch cabinet has a door that is provided with a sealing element made of elastic rubber material. The sealing element has a top bead with a cavity, as well as a fastening strip with a self-adhesive adhesion layer. The sealing element contacts one rim flange by means of the fastening strip and the adhesion layer. A friction-reducing coating can be applied onto an end surface intended to rest against a front surface of the switch cabinet or onto an adjacent side surface.

  • Patent number: 5439282
Abstract: A door (4) for a switch cabinet (1) is provided on its inner side (7) with a frame (8) that serves to stiffen the door (4) and secure internal fixtures. The frame (8) is assembled from profiled sections (10) and is fastened to the inner side (7) of the door (4) by means of retainer studs (15) against whose end surfaces dimples (13) of the frame (8) rest. A space (A) is present between the inner side (7) of the door (4) and an adjoining profile part (11) of the profiled sections (10).

  • Patent number: 4988008
Abstract: A supporting framework for a control cabinet is configured of side frames and cross-beams. The side frames are made of whereby profile elements having a rectangular cross-sectional. The cross-beams possess a square cross-sectional shape that is beveled on one side, and includes two sections at right angles to each other and dimensioned to be of a length corresponding to the longer rectangular side of the cross-sectional shape of the side frame element. The supporting framework is both stable and inexpensive. The cabinets can be attached to one another.
