  • Publication number: 20240375077
Abstract: Reactors subject to large variations in temperatures are subject to thermal stresses that can lead to failure or process disruption. In the present invention, reactors designs are provided that protect the reactor from thermal stress. Thermal stress can be reduced by providing expansion joints, or varying wall thickness or stiffness to adjust for thermal expansion.

  • Patent number: 12116723
Abstract: A system for creating folds in textiles. The system includes a tooling plate, a loading assembly, a fold mechanism, a wrangler mechanism, and a door mechanism. The loading assembly enable a user to load a textile into the system. The fold mechanism creates folds in the textile. The wrangler mechanism compacts a textile after folds have been created in it to retain and tighten the folds. The door mechanism opens and closes an opening in the tooling plate through which textiles can be transferred away from the wrangler mechanism. Preferably, the system may also include a robot arm equipped to transfer textiles about the system and a tying machine for applying bindings to textiles.

  • Patent number: 12070710
Abstract: Air cleaner assemblies, components, and features are described. The features can be used to provide that the air cleaner assembly cannot be fully closed, even if a cartridge is nested therein, and appears to be sealed, unless that cartridge is a proper one for the system of concern. The effect is to prevent an inappropriate cartridge, that does not properly seal, from being inadvertently installed in the assembly.

  • Publication number: 20240271249
Abstract: A method of heap leaching a metal from a mined ore that contains a metal sulfide-containing material, such as a copper sulfide-containing mineral. The method forms a heap of the mined ore or extends an existing heap by adding the mined ore to the heap. The method also leaches the metal from the mined ore in the heap with an acidic leach liquor and produces a pregnant leach liquor containing the metal in solution. Pyrite that is already in the mined ore generates acid and heat that facilitates leaching metal from the mined ore. The mined ore may be run-of-mine (ROM) ore that is transferred directly from the mine to the heap without changing the size of ore particles in the mined ore.
