  • Patent number: 10909911
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a display device that includes a control circuit, an array of light emitting diode (LED) zones, and an array of driver circuits that are distributed in the display area. The driver circuits are arranged in groups that are coupled to each other and to the control circuit in a serial communication chain via serial communication lines. The group of driver circuits are also coupled in parallel to a shared multi-wire command line that provides a high-speed interface for providing the driver control signals from the control circuit. The control circuit may furthermore issue readback commands to the driver circuits via the shared multi-wire command line or the serial communication chain. In response to the commands, the driver circuits provide readback data via a readback line through the serial communication chain or via parallel connections from the driver circuits.

  • Patent number: 10899355
Abstract: A misfire detection system and method for a vehicle utilize a controller to obtain a crankshaft speed signal indicative of a rotational speed of an engine crankshaft connected to a device that mitigates vibrational disturbances at the crankshaft caused by misfires of the engine, detect that a first firing event of the engine is a first misfire based on the crankshaft speed signal, monitor a vibrational response of the crankshaft, detect that a consecutive second firing event of the engine is a second misfire based on a first modified crankshaft speed signal and the first set of thresholds, and in response to detecting the second misfire, reset the monitoring of the vibrational response of the crankshaft including modifying the amplitude of the crankshaft speed signal to obtain a second modified crankshaft speed signal and comparing the second modified crankshaft speed signal to a set of thresholds.

  • Publication number: 20200387204
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to thermal management of wireless access points including local thermal management, cloud-based thermal management, and thermal management based on optimization and operation such as in a distributed Wi-Fi network. The objective of the present disclosure is for thermal management in access points allowing small form-factors and aesthetic designs, preventing overheating and without requiring reduced performance or reduced hardware. Generally, the systems and methods detect when access points are nearing overheating and alter their operation so as to minimize the reduction of performance in the network while reducing power consumption.

  • Patent number: 10796346
Abstract: Illustrative embodiments of the present invention are directed to methods and computer systems for reporting unusual or anomalous usage or spending of a commodity by consumers. A computer system retrieves a set of usage-information datasets corresponding to a set of consumers, each dataset including past usage of the commodity during at least one of a completed billing period and a current usage of the commodity during the current billing period. The computer system establishes a set of report-trigger conditions for the current billing period, each of the report-trigger conditions corresponding to a consumer. The computer system monitor usage or spending of the set of consumers to determine, for each consumer, whether an estimated usage established for each consumer fulfills the consumer's report-trigger condition. Once the report-trigger condition is fulfilled, the computer system outputs a report to the consumer.
