  • Publication number: 20060169119
Abstract: A quick adjusting device for a lower guide base of a band saw includes a base plate, an adjusting base, a guide unit, a tightening member and an adjusting rod. The base plate is connected firmly with a lower guide base of a band saw to move altogether, having a transverse guide slot for the tightening member to pass through and then screw with a worktable. The adjusting base is fixed on the work table, having one side combined with the guide unit and the other side combined with the threaded rod, for the guide unit to fit in the base plate and for the adjusting rod to engage with. Then the base plate and the lower guide base can be moved to adjust their locations to suit to band saw bodies with various widths, by rotating the adjusting rod and moving said guide unit.

  • Publication number: 20050259775
Abstract: Dynamic phase alignment circuitry selects from among several, phase-distributed, candidate clock signals the one of those signals that is currently best for use in controlling the timing of sampling of a serial data signal to recover the data from that signal. The circuitry selects two phase-adjacent ones of the candidate clock signals that are currently the two best candidates for final selection. The circuitry makes a final selection of the generally better one of these two best candidates in a way that avoids unproductive switching back and forth between these two best candidates.

  • Patent number: 6947134
Abstract: A Fluorescence Particle Spectrometer (FPS) performs real-time measurement of the fluorescence spectra of aerosol particles in the size range 1-10 ?m diameter. The FPS has a sufficiently high sample rate (estimated to be a few liters/min) to measure aerosol within buildings (from 1 up to 600 particle fluorescence spectra per minute) at practical rates. A virtual impactor first concentrates aerosol particles, which are then drawn under negative pressure through an aerodynamic focusing nozzle in the inlet of the instrument, through the sample region, providing further concentration. The rate of particle spectra measured by the FPS increases significantly when the particle inlet is within a few meters of some common sources of indoor biological particles.

  • Publication number: 20050200390
Abstract: A programmable logic device includes configurable phase-locked loop (PLL) circuitry that outputs multiple clock signals having programmable phases and frequencies. Each output signal is programmably selectable for use as an external clock, internal global clock, internal local clock, or combinations thereof. The PLL circuitry has programmable frequency dividing, including programmable cascaded frequency dividing, and programmable output signal multiplexing that provide a high degree of clock design flexibility.

  • Patent number: 6933761
Abstract: Techniques for dynamically shifting the phase of clock signals are provided. A circuit generates a plurality of periodic clock signals. Each clock signal has the same period, the same duty cycle, and a different phase. The clock signals are provided to the inputs of two multiplexers. The output signals of the multiplexers are transmitted to a phase selection circuit that generations phase selection signals. The multiplexers each select one of the clock signals in response to the phase selection signals. When the phase selection signals change value, each multiplexer selects a different clock signal in order to shift the phase of its output signal forward or backward by an incremental value. A directional signal determines whether the multiplexers shift the phases of their output signals forward or backward in time.

  • Publication number: 20050028577
Abstract: An aerosol deflection system having a concentration zone expelling an air stream through a first detection zone, a second detection zone, and a deflection zone. The first detection zone activates the second detection zone based upon detection of a suspect aerosol of a pre-selected size. The second detection zone activates the deflection zone when the suspect aerosol of the pre-selected size has a predetermined light-induced-fluorescence signature. The deflection zone directs a pressure pulse at the suspect aerosol having the predetermined light-induced-fluorescence signature to deflect the suspect aerosol from the air stream.
