  • Publication number: 20240004367
Abstract: A method for collocating sensed data of one or more three-dimensional objects, the method comprising: autonomously collocating, with a processor, a first data set resulting in a first collocated data set, which may correspond with one or more first three-dimensional working models of the one or more three-dimensional objects, respectively; and autonomously interpreting, by a processor, the first collocated data set, by comparison to one or more pre-fabricated three-dimensional models, to determine an identity of the one or more three-dimensional objects associated with the one or more first three-dimensional working models or to determine the state and/or operating conditions of three-dimensional objects.

  • Publication number: 20230151918
Abstract: A coupling mechanism securing a first object having a well to a second object having a lug, including a shuttle movable within the lug, a resilient biasing means biasing the shuttle away from a base of the well when the lug is inserted, and locking elements movable radially in the lug between a retracted position and an extended position. Each locking element moves from the retracted position and retains in the extended position by a surface profile of the shuttle. The coupling mechanism includes a movable stop having: a first position in which movement of the shuttle is limited so the locking elements interact with the surface profile, and a second position in which movement of the shuttle is extended to cause the locking elements to interact with another surface profile of the shuttle, moving the locking elements from their extended position to their retracted position.

  • Publication number: 20230079054
Abstract: A method for performing an autonomous inspection. The method comprises traversing, by an autonomous sensor apparatus, a path through a site having three-dimensional objects located therein. The site includes three-dimensional objects located therein. The method comprises obtaining, by a plurality of sensors on-board the autonomous sensor apparatus, one or more data sets throughout the path. Each of the one or more data sets are associated with an attribute of one or more three-dimensional objects. The method comprises generating, by the first, second, or third processor, a working model from a collocated data set; and comparing, by the first, second, or third processor, the working model with one or more pre-existing models; to determine the presence and/or absence of anomalies. The presence and/or absence of anomalies are communicated as human-readable instructions.

  • Patent number: 11028460
Abstract: Lead is recovered from lead paste of a lead acid battery in a continuous process. The lead paste is contacted with a base to generate a supernatant and a precipitate. The precipitate is separated from the supernatant, and is contacted with an alkane sulfonic acid to generate a mixture of lead ion solution and insoluble lead dioxide. The lead dioxide is reduced with a reducing agent to form lead oxide, and the lead oxide is combined with the lead ion solution to form a combined lead ion solution to so allow a continuous process without lead dioxide accumulation. Lead is recovered from the combined lead ion solution using electrolysis.

  • Publication number: 20200254403
Abstract: A mixer, particularly a dual planetary mixer, for mixing a liquid with a dry material in a mixing vessel has improved fluid introduction. The mixer includes a drive shaft rotatable about a main axis of rotation and at least a first mixing element rotatable about a first mixing element axis. The mixer further includes drive means for driving the first mixing element about the first mixing element axis in response to rotation of the drive shaft about the main axis of rotation and at least one injection nozzle for injecting a liquid. A fluid path extends between a liquid inlet and the at least one injection nozzle. The fluid path extends longitudinally through the drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 10681249
Abstract: Digitization of film, and more particularly film scanning, includes capturing light transmitted through the film so as to acquire a digitized image. This includes a captured frame comprising a digitized image of at least a portion of at least one image frame of a sequence of image frames, and at least a portion of one or more transport perforations. The method can further include determining an image offset corresponding to at least the captured frame on the basis of a comparison between at least one detected edge in the captured image and a corresponding datum location. A signal representing the image offset can be generated to enable alignment of at least the captured frame.

  • Patent number: 10406916
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle driveline and a method of controlling same. The driveline includes front wheels (11, 12) and rear wheels (14, 15), a controller (40) and a prime mover (11). Either the front wheels (11, 12) or all wheels are connected to the prime mover (11). The rear wheels (14, 15) may be connected via a prop shaft (23) with clutches (22; 27) at both ends. The decision to switch between 2WD and 4WD is taken on basis of speed-dependent trigger conditions.

  • Patent number: 10388306
Abstract: A method of digitizing an audio track carried on an elongate recording medium, such as a movie film, includes transporting the recording medium containing the audio track past a reader to enable sequential reading of the audio track. The reading of the audio track generates an analog output signal. The method also includes sensing a rate of transportation of the recording medium, and sampling the analog output signal at a sampling rate determined on the basis of the sensed rate of transportation to digitize the analog output signal. A system for digitizing audio is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9821775
Abstract: In response to driver selection of PARK, a vehicle transmission is commanded to momentarily select and hold NEUTRAL before PARK, while a vehicle wheel brake is applied.
