  • Publication number: 20170180199
Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provided for a system for provisioning network resources. The system includes a network provisioning abstraction layer having an application interface for receiving network provisioning requests from applications and determine provisioning instructions for fulfilling the requests. Each of the received provisioning instructions is queued in a priority queuing system according to a request priority. The provisioning instructions for the highest priority requests are removed from the front of the queue and sent to a resource interface that relays the requests to the appropriate network resources.

  • Patent number: 8265259
Abstract: According to various embodiments of the present invention, systems and methods for local number portability in a telecommunication network are disclosed. An embodiment of a method includes receiving a telephone number (TN) to test for its porting activity as part of a local number portability (LNP) order, accessing a LNP call tester (LCT) to determine a current local routing number (LRN) for the TN, and determining, based on the TN and current LRN, whether the porting activity is completed for the TN in relation to a core telecommunications carrier servicing an owner of the TN. The porting activity may include at least one of port in, port out, and migration of the TN. In one embodiment, the planned porting activity for the TN associated with the LNP order is known prior to determining whether the porting activity has been completed. • Patent number: 6047786
Abstract: The present invention discloses an electric vehicle frame having a lower portion and an upper portion. The lower portion includes a base and integral sidewalls. The sidewalls extend from the base to form an open cavity. The upper portion detachably joins to the lower portion such that the upper portion covers the cavity and forms a frame assembly which defines an enclosed chamber therein. The strength of the assembly is substantially greater than the strength of each of the portions prior to being joined. The lower and upper portions are formed of cast aluminum. The present invention further includes a method of assembling an electric vehicle, which includes using the frame and a plurality of subassemblies, and the electric vehicle formed therefrom, particularly in the form of a motor scooter.

  • Patent number: 5585629
Abstract: An electron beam nanometer-level metrology tool includes an ambient temperature electron source and a movable stage for mounting a workpiece. The stage is adapted to position the workpiece's surface in a beam interrogation region. Electrostatic focus lenses convert electrons emitted by the electron source into a beam with a focal point that is positioned in the beam interrogation region. The lenses cause the electron beam to traverse a path that is generally orthogonal to the workpiece surface. Along the beam path are positioned upper and lower electrostatic deflection plates which are connected to an adjustable voltage source that applies ganged, opposite-sense d/c potentials thereto. Those potentials enable a scanning of the beam across the beam interrogation region while the beam remains substantially orthogonal to the workpiece surface, thereby enabling more accurate measurements of surface features.

  • Patent number: 5583079
Abstract: A ceramic kiln-fired product which comprises glass, fly ash, and a clay binder. Further provided is a method for preparing raw material suitable for forming a shaped, kiln-fired, ceramic product. The method comprises mixing glass, fly ash, and a clay binder with from about 10 wt. % to about 15 wt. % water, on a dry weight basis, to form an aqueous mixture, separating the aqueous mixture using a mesh of from about 10 to about 12 screen into first and second portions, the first portion comprising the aqueous mixture which does not pass through the mesh and the second portion comprising the aqueous mixture which passes through the mesh, and drying the second portion until the moisture content of the second portion is less than about 0.5 wt. % to form the raw material. The present invention also provides a tile glazing formulation which may be used with the ceramic product of the present invention, as well as a method of using the formulation. The glazing formulation comprises, on a dry weight basis, about 70 wt.

  • Patent number: 5117101
Abstract: A color recognition system which illuminates a test surface through the use of a source light and fiber optic cables. The light transmitted to the test surface is reflected into a light pipe and then transmitted through fiber optic cables to a first plurality of color filtered photo detectors. The photo detectors produce quantitative color component values for the tested surface. Light is also transmitted directly from the source light through fiber optic cables to a second plurality of color filtered photo detectors. The second plurality of photo detectors produce quantitative color component values for the light source. The values produced from the first plurality of photo detectors are then adjusted with respect to the values produced from the second plurality of photo detectors.
