Abstract: A computer system comprises a memory and a processor. The memory provides an empirical model for estimating data rates of local loops having one or more bridged taps. The processor uses the empirical model to estimate and output a data rate of a local loop that includes a bridged tap. The processor estimates the data rate using the empirical model based on an equivalent working length (EWL) for the local loop, a tap length value that is based on a length of the bridged tap, and a tap location value that is based on a location of the bridged tap.

Abstract: A commodities package is provided for containing commodities, such as staples. The package includes a base container and a cover, the base container and cover having interengaging structure in order to hold them together. The base container and cover are wrapped with shrink wrap to provide a sealed package. An outer package contains a plurality of commodity packages and facilitates loading of the commodity packages onto a display structure. The outer package is manually alterable so that it supports each of the plurality of commodity packages while the display structure is received by hanger members provided on the commodity packages. Once the commodity packages are loaded onto the display structure, the outer package is pulled away.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of uPAR-binding molecule-drug conjugates capable of specifically binding a urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR) as therapeutic and diagnostic reagents for the treatment and monitoring of metastases. The present invention provides methods of treatment of metastases, comprising administering to a subject a uPAR-binding molecule-chemotherapeutic conjugate that is capable of binding to and internalizing into uPAR-expressing cells. The present invention further provides pharmaceutical compositions and kits comprising such conjugates. The present invention further provides methods and compositions relating to combination therapy for cancer involving or mediated by uPAR-expressing cells using uPAR-binding molecule-drug conjugates of the invention.

Abstract: A towing dolly is provided for relocating wheeled loads such as boat trailers, camping trailers and airplanes where towing forces required may be substantial. The towing dolly may have a wheel assembly with a drive gear disposed between proximate treads. The towing dolly may have a narrow wheel width providing easy steering and compact size for storage. The towing dolly may have a motor with a gear sprocket. A linked chain may transfer power from the motor to the drive gear located between the double treads. The dolly may have a steering arm extending perpendicular to drive direction allowing the operator to stand away from path of movement of the load while providing adequate leverage to steer the dolly. The dolly may have an alternate configuration with a power source located on the dolly providing operation independent of plugins or extension cords.

The system includes a test device that makes measurements at the customer end and a portable computing device that interfaces with the test device, a customer gateway and database at a network location to analyze the data and determine a performance metric of the network.

Abstract: A dual-mode broadband modem operative to operate in a service mode and a surveillance mode is disclosed. Generally, the dual-mode broadband modem comprises a primary communication device; a secondary communication device; a central processing unit in communication with the primary and secondary communication devices; and a memory unit in communication with the central processing unit. In the service mode, the primary communication device communicates with a broadband service provider and the central processing unit stores historical information regarding performance of the primary communication device in the memory unit. If an interruption in broadband service is detected, or the performance of the primary communication device falls below a predetermined threshold, the dual-mode broadband modem switches to surveillance mode and the secondary communication device is activated.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a method and system of transmitting data. The method includes providing a data signal and providing at least one redundant data signal. The method also includes transmitting a data stream, wherein the data signal and the at least one redundant data signal are combined to regenerate the data stream. The method can include transmitting the data signal and the at least one redundant data signal via a plurality of twisted pairs.

Abstract: A fuel cell stack comprises multiple fuel cell assemblies, wherein each fuel cell assembly includes a fuel cell comprising an anode layer and a cathode layer, and an electrolyte interposed between the anode layer and the cathode layer. The fuel cell assembly further comprises an anode interconnect and a cathode interconnect, wherein the anode interconnect may be firmly attached to the anode layer by means of a bonding agent and a sealing agent used to seal passages on the anode layer of each fuel cell.

Abstract: A system and method for imputing data into a database includes an imputing system operable to impute data based on outside plant construction principles. The imputing system includes an inventory database, a data engine, a search engine, and a loop engine. The inventory database includes a plurality of distribution records each associated with one or more cable pairs. The data engine determines if a desired distribution record corresponding to a desired cable pair includes missing data. The search engine searches a known class of serving terminals for complete distribution records and iteratively searches a sized binder group within the inventory database for one or more complete distribution records where the size of the binder group searched increases with each iterative search. The loop engine determines an imputed value for the desired distribution record based on the searching and imputes the value into the desired distribution record.

Abstract: This disclosure discusses techniques for obtaining wavelength selected simultaneously super pulsed Q-switched and cavity dumped laser pulses utilizing high optical damage threshold electro-optic modulators, maintaining a zero DC voltage bias on the CdTe electro-optic modulator (EOM) so as to minimize polarization variations depending on the location of the laser beam propagating through the CdSe EOM crystal, as well as the addition of one or more laser amplifiers in a compact package and the use of simultaneous gain switched, Q-switched and cavity dumped operation of CO2 lasers for generating shorter pulses and higher peak power for the hole drilling, engraving and perforation applications.

The method includes,during training of a broadband modem, sending a series of tones within a frequency transmission band of the broadband modem, receiving the transmitted series of tones at a receiving broadband modem, receiving a measurement value of a power level for each of the received tones in the series of tones transmitted to the receiving broadband modem, determining a transmission loss for each of the series of tones by comparing the predetermined transmission power level, and the received measured power level, performing a statistical match comparison between each of the received tone signals and a plurality of different computer models of a single transmission facility having various bridge taps connected to the single transmission facility, and determining a best fit between each of the received tone signals and one of the plurality of the bridge tap computer models.

The article is a water-insoluble substrate laden with a fluid cosmetic composition that includes a skin benefit agent delivered in a carrier. The substrate is a woven or non-woven fibrous web with first and second major surfaces, at least one of the major surfaces having formed thereon an array of projections, the array including from at least 2 to about 20 projections per cm2. The scintillator pixels are separated from adjacent scintillator pixels by gaps. Each scintillator pixel includes a top surface, a plurality of side surfaces, and a first layer covering the top surface and the side surfaces of each scintillator pixel. The first layer is formed from a smoothing coating. A second layer formed from a reflective metal coating covers the first layer, and a third layer formed from a barrier coating covers the second layer.

Abstract: A system for attenuating exhaust noise from an engine with a first group of active cylinders and a second group of deactivatable cylinders includes a first exhaust manifold connected to the first group of active cylinders and a second exhaust manifold connected to the second group of deactivatable cylinders. The second exhaust manifold is connected to the first exhaust manifold such that the second exhaust manifold acts as a resonator to attenuate sound from the first group of active cylinders when the second group of cylinders is deactivated.

Abstract: A simultaneously super pulsed Q-switched CO2 laser system for material processing comprises sealed-off folded waveguides with folded mirrors that are thin film coated to select the output wavelength of the laser. The system also comprises a plurality of reflective devices defining a cavity; a gain medium positioned within the cavity for generating a laser beam; a cavity loss modulator for modulating the laser beam, generating thereby one or more laser pulses; a pulsed signal generation system connected to the cavity loss modulator for delivering pulsed signals to the cavity loss modulator thereby controlling the state of optical loss within the cavity; a control unit connected to the pulsed signal generation system for controlling the pulsed signal generation system; and a pulse clipping circuit receptive of a portion of the laser beam and connected to the pulsed signal generation system for truncating a part of the laser pulses.
