  • Patent number: 11967960
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for synchronizing data transfers across clock domains for using heads-up indications. An integrated circuit includes a first-in first-out buffer (FIFO); a memory controller configured to operate in a first clock domain and coupled to the FIFO, the first clock domain associated with a first clock signal; a data fabric configured to operate in a second clock domain and coupled to the FIFO, the second clock domain associated with a second clock signal, a second frequency of the second clock signal being different from a first frequency of the first clock signal; and a controller coupled to the FIFO. In some instances, the controller determines a phase relationship between the first clock signal and the second clock signal; monitors one or more first clock edges of the first clock signal and one or more second clock edges of the second clock signal; and sends a first heads-up signal to the memory controller.

  • Patent number: 11962178
Abstract: A method for managing a battery to perform a final action, the method includes determining a battery supplying power to an electronic device is discharging and receiving battery specification information for the battery. The method includes receiving environmental condition information for the battery and determining an open circuit voltage for the battery. The method includes determining a base capacity for the battery, a first capacity reduction for the battery based on the battery specification, and a second capacity reduction for the battery based on the environmental condition information. The method includes determining an overall expected capacity for the battery based on the first capacity reduction and the second capacity reduction, where the overall expected capacity represents available energy. Responsive to determining the available energy for the battery is less than a required energy to perform an action prior to battery depletion, the method includes sending a warning notification.

  • Patent number: 11959033
Abstract: A liquid fuel composition for a spark ignition internal combustion engine comprising (a) gasoline blending components, (b) Fischer-Tropsch derived naphtha at a level of up to 50% v/v and (c) oxygenated hydrocarbon at a level less than 50% v/v. While the low octane number of Fischer-Tropsch derived naphtha would normally severely restrict its blendability in gasoline to low levels, it has now been found that Fischer-Tropsch derived naphtha can be included in, for example, ethanol-containing gasoline fuel compositions, in surprisingly and significantly high blend ratios of Fischer-Tropsch derived naphtha to ethanol.

  • Patent number: 11959557
Abstract: An evacuation unit is configured to remove entrapped fluid from a flow control. These configurations may incorporate devices that can passively discharge fluid in response to loss of system pressure. These devices may use gravity or spring-assist as mechanisms to move fluid out of spaces in the device. This feature mitigates risks that the entrapped fluid freezes and expands, which can cause damage to metal components and lead to extensive downtime of process lines. As an added benefit, the features can reduce product costs or complexity because the proposed designs avoid the need for additional, peripheral “accessories,” like pumps or heating elements, resident at the location of the flow control.

  • Patent number: 11957820
Abstract: A blood pump is disclosed. The blood pump apparatus is arranged to provide pulsatile flow, and comprises a flexible inner cylindrical duct providing a blood flow region, and an outer cylindrical duct arranged to surround the inner cylindrical duct and arranged to accommodate a pumping fluid. In the pump the inner cylindrical duct is described as comprising a blood inlet for receiving blood into the region, a blood outlet for passing blood out from the blood flow region and a passageway therebetween. There is also described the feature of the inner duct comprising a non return valve at the blood inlet and a non return valve at the blood outlet, the outer cylindrical duct having a fluid port for a pumping fluid, and a pump device arranged to cyclically deliver and withdraw pumping fluid to the fluid port thereby cyclically compressing and expanding the flexible inner cylindrical duct urging blood through the blood flow region and delivering a pulsating blood flow through the blood outlet.
