  • Patent number: 6112481
Abstract: A surround molding assembly for a doorway or window of a structure includes a pair of vertical molding members releasably secured by independent hanger strips along vertical sides of a doorway. The hanger strips include securing portions which releasably engage with securing portions of the vertical molding members to eliminate the need for nails, screws or the like. A mantle molding member is provided and fixedly secured over a top portion of the doorway without the need for external fastening elements. An internal corner member is positioned adjacent each end of the mantle molding member to direct water away from the doorway. In another embodiment a header assembly is disclosed which is adapted to be secured to an uneven exterior surface of a structure such as aluminum or vinyl siding.

  • Patent number: 5850717
Abstract: A molding assembly having a hanger member fixedly securable to an inner or outer wall of a building and a decorative molding insert member releasably engageable with the hanger member. The molding insert member is supported at a lower edge portion by a lower J-channel of the hanger member. An upper L-shaped portion of the insert member is supported by a depending lip portion of the hanger member which forms a second channel such that no external fastening elements are required to secure the molding insert member to the hanger member. The insert member can be quickly and easily releasably engaged within the J-channel and the second channel without the need for special tools. In an alternative preferred embodiment the insert member includes a lip portion which is adapted to slidably engage an under surface of an adjacently positioned insert member to provide an even more continuous appearance for adjacently positioned insert members.

  • Patent number: 5740423
Abstract: A system for accessing data distributed on databases in an integrated computer system includes a distributed data port, which initiates a XRef server query, generates a virtual table having a first result set including at least one data row responsive to the XRef server query, initiates Populate queries each having one of the data rows as an argument, and updates the virtual table with data responsive to the Populate queries. The system also includes a XRef server, which receives the XRef server query from the distributed data port and identifies at least one of the databases having a data row responsive to the XRef server query. A temporary virtual table relays each Populate query to a data directory server, and the data directory server is linked to each of the databases.

  • Patent number: 5592797
Abstract: For use in a decorative molding system comprising thin flexible plastic molding strips having clips thereon and flexible tracks engaged by the clips, a plastic corner member provided between the adjacent plastic molding strips and forming a corner for receiving a pair of the plastic molding strips having free ends with their longitudinal axis forming an angle at a corner of a room. The plastic corner member comprises a one piece plastic body having side walls intersecting at substantially the same angle as the angle formed by the edges of said ends of adjacent plastic molding strips. Each wall has substantially the same undulating cross sectional configuration as the adjacent plastic molding strips. Each wall has an upper free edge, a lower free edge and a vertical free edge, an outer surface and an inner surface. A flexible plastic clip is attached to each the wall. Each clip has first end and a second free end.

  • Patent number: 5555688
Abstract: A decorative molding system removably installed at a juncture of a ceiling and a vertical wall, said molding system comprising a plurality of thin molding strips of flexible plastic having a length and an upper free edge, a lower free edge, a front surface and a back surface. The upper free edge is adapted to lie against one of the ceiling and the vertical wall along a line spaced from the juncture of the ceiling and vertical wall and flex relative thereto. The lower free edge is adapted to lie against the other of the ceiling and the vertical wall along a line spaced from the juncture of the ceiling and vertical wall and flex relative thereto. A corner in the room is formed by a first flexible molding strip mounted along a first wall and extends toward the corner of an intersection with an adjacent second wall. An adjacent second flexible molding strip is mounted on the adjacent second wall.

  • Patent number: 5555687
Abstract: A decorative molding system removably installed at a ceiling and a vertical wall. The molding system includes a thin molding strip of flexible plastic and a plurality of flexible plastic clips attached at spaced points along the back surface points of the molding strip. A wall track of flexible plastic is mounted adjacent the upper edge of the track on one of the ceiling and said vertical wall. Interengagement is provided on the free end of the clip and the track such that when the thin molding strip with the flexible plastic clips attached thereto is mounted on the track by relative movement, the free end of the clip is moved into the gap and the forward leading edge of the track is engaged. At the juncture of adjacent molding strips, one of the molding strips is provided with a complementary shaped plastic segment spaced from the internal surface of the molding strip to provide a cavity.
