  • Patent number: 11370050
Abstract: A welding system and method provide for generating a controlled waveform for welding power output, the waveform comprising a plurality of successive peak phases followed by a short circuit between a welding wire electrode and an advancing weld puddle. Each then present peak phase is regulated based upon at least the immediately preceding short circuit to control the short circuit that will occur following the then present peak phase. Some embodiments permit regulating at least one waveform phase based upon at least the immediately preceding short circuit to control the next short circuit that will occur, and regulating at least one short response phase based upon at least the immediately preceding short circuit to control the next short circuit that will occur.

  • Publication number: 20220198590
Abstract: A mechanism is provided to implement a contract analytic binding and provenance system. The mechanism loads contract rules for an agreement between a plurality of contract parties and creates an analytic entry per rule to form a set of analytic entries, Each analytic entry is associated with an executable analytic function. The mechanism assigns each analytic entry a directed acyclic graph vertex. The mechanism confirms alignment between the contract rules and the set of analytic entries and stores the set of analytic entries in peer ledgers associated with the plurality of contract parties. The mechanism activates the set of analytic entries responsive to confirming provenance of the peer ledgers associated with the plurality of contract parties.

  • Publication number: 20220193831
Abstract: A method of forming a plurality of defects within a substrate with a laser beam focal line using a laser beam, each defect of the plurality of defects being a damage track within the substrate with a diameter of about 10 microns or less, the plurality of defects forming a contour line on the substrate. The substrate having a first surface and a second surface that is opposite from the first surface. The method further includes exerting (i) a first force on the first surface of the substrate at a location that is adjacent to the contour line and (ii) a second force on the second surface of the substrate at a location that is on the contour line. • Publication number: 20220171882
Abstract: A system includes a device including one or more sensors that generate one or more signals used to detect whether an unauthorized activity has occurred at the device. The device is configured to transmit the one or more signals generated by the one or more sensors. The central monitoring device is configured to receive the one or more signals and compare the one or more signals with a baseline signal for the device. The baseline signal includes an expected signal for each of the one or more sensors when the unauthorized activity has not occurred. • Publication number: 20220172172
Abstract: In an illustrative embodiment, systems and methods for automating recorded candidate assessments include receiving a submission for an available position including a question response recording for each of one or more interview questions. For each question response recording, a transcript can be generated by applying a speech-to-text algorithm to an audio portion of the recording. The systems and methods can detect, within the transcript, identifiers each associated with the personality aspects by applying a natural language classifier trained to detect words and phrases associated with the personality aspects of the personality model. Scores may be calculated for each of the personality aspects based on a relevance of the respective personality aspect to the respective interview question and detected identifiers. The scores can be presented within a user interface screen responsive to receiving a request to view interview results.

  • Publication number: 20220101325
Abstract: An apparatus is configured to receive a complaint initiation signal that includes an indication that a card reader may be compromised, and initiation date and time of the complaint, and geolocation data related to the reporting party. The apparatus is further configured to identify a street address closest to the geolocation data in the complaint using a geolocation application programming interface and the set of geolocation data. The apparatus is also configured to determine that the identified street address is associated with an entity. The apparatus then calculates a confidence interval as to whether that entity is the type of entity that uses a card reader. The apparatus is further configured to determine that the confidence interval exceeds a threshold. The apparatus is also configured to determine an identifier of the entity. Further, the apparatus is configured to publish an alert to a data feed.

  • Publication number: 20220055073
Abstract: A process for cleaning an object, such as for instance an outdoor playground structure or other communal object, includes applying a degreaser solution to a surface of the object. The surface is also power washed using water at or above ambient temperature, and additionally steam is applied to the surface. A disinfectant solution is applied to the surface, and if a final contaminant level of the surface is below a predetermined threshold value then finally an antimicrobial product is applied. The process removes contaminants including microorganisms and organic residues and provides a surface that remains resistant to recontamination for an extended period of time.

  • Patent number: 11253940
Abstract: A welding regime may implements cyclic short circuits under a closed loop voltage control approach. Upon clearing or imminent clearing of the short circuit, a current recess is implemented. The current recess reduces the current that would otherwise be applied to the weld, resulting in multiple benefits. The recess may be implemented by suspending voltage command signals. Following the current recess, normal control is resumed with the then-current voltage command.

  • Patent number: 11247287
Abstract: Disclosed is a welding-type power source that includes a first wire feeder provides a wire to a workpiece. A first wire feeder motor of the wire feeder to move the wire from a wire storage device to the workpiece. A second wire feeder motor moves the wire to and away from the workpiece and superimposes movement of the wire onto the movement from the first wire feeder motor. A moveable buffer located between the first and second wire feeder motors, and configured to accommodate a change in length of the wire between the first and second wire feeder motors when the second wire feeder motor moves the wire away from the workpiece. A sensor senses movement or displacement of the moveable buffer, wherein a speed or direction of the first or second wire feeder motors is adjusted based on data from the sensor.

  • Patent number: 11244127
Abstract: An apparatus is configured to receive a data feed. The data feed includes location data of a first card reader that may be compromised and an identifier of the party that initiated the alert. The apparatus is further configured to determine that the location data of the first card reader matches a location identifier associated with a first card reader owner profile. The apparatus is also configured to determine that the owner of the card reader is not the entity receiving the alert. The apparatus then determines that there is not a match between the identifier of the party that initiated the alert and a user identifier from a plurality of user account profiles. The apparatus is further configured to transmit a message to the card reader owner indicating that the card reader may be compromised.

  • Patent number: 11154946
Abstract: A welding system includes a welding torch, a power supply, one or more sensors, and a controller is provided. The welding torch advances an electrode toward a workpiece in a first direction. The power supply provides a flow of electricity to the electrode for generating a welding arc between the electrode and the workpiece. Generating the welding arc generates a weld puddle behind the welding arc as the electrode moves in the first direction. The sensor generates a voltage output signal based on the amount of light received from the weld puddle. The controller is communicatively coupled with the sensor to receive the voltage output signal, and the sensor controls a welding parameter of the welding system based the voltage output signal.
