The shielding gas displaces an ambient environment within the purge region, and the back weld root surface of the weld deposit includes a positive root penetration relative to the back weld root surface based at least in part on the shielding gas within the purge region.

    Abstract: An electrical sub-assembly comprises a stator having a plurality of coils and cooling means attached to the stator. The electrical sub-assembly further comprises a plurality of pairs of diodes attached to the cooling means, each pair of diodes being in antiparallel configuration and having three electrical terminals. One of the three electrical terminals is a common terminal shared by both diodes in each pair of diodes in each pair of diodes. A plurality of busbars electrically connect each of the diodes to at least one of the plurality of coils via one or more of the electrical terminals. In use, the cooling means is configured to simultaneously cool the stator and the plurality of diodes. The electrical sub-assembly may have particular application as a part of a switched reluctance machine.

The method also includes detecting the occurrence of an anomalous cathode event during the background phase of a first pulse period of the plurality of pulse periods based at least in part on when a voltage value of the weld voltage is greater than a detect voltage. The method also includes controlling the weld current to a desired current during a portion of the anomalous cathode event. The portion includes an interval of the background phase of the first pulse period, and the weld current is controlled independent of the weld voltage during the portion of the anomalous cathode event.

The method includes heating a metal oxide sensor to for a predetermined period of time for the metal oxide sensor to interact with a surrounding gas; sampling transient resistance values of the metal oxide sensor to obtain sampled transient resistance values; determining an electrical resistance of the metal oxide sensor in a chemical equilibrium state of the interaction of the metal oxide sensor and the surrounding gas via applying a neural network; and determining a concentration level of the surrounding gas at the chemical equilibrium state by mapping the determined electrical resistance to a corresponding concentration level of the surrounding gas.

The arm is of made of a semi-rigid material such that the arm can be deflected from a neutral position by a user in order to insert a cable between the arm and the second plate. A dual-sided bracket may be formed by including one or more plates and arms on both sides of the base. A dovetail connection may allow multiple cable brackets to be coupled in series. Two brackets may also be coupled utilizing an intermediate slider.

The bogie also includes a mechanism that provides a force to normally bias the second wheel toward the first position.
