  • Patent number: 11944768
Abstract: A method of using a catheter assembly for inserting in a fluid filled space in a body includes providing a main body having a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portion is positioned within the fluid filled space. The second end portion is adjusted to extend outwardly from the fluid filled space when the first end portion is positioned within the fluid filled space. A catheter tip is connected to the second end portion of the main body. The catheter tip includes a housing having a cavity defined therein and a rotating element positioned within the fluid filled space. The rotating element is rotated within the cavity of the housing to impart movement of the first end portion of the main body within the fluid filled space.

  • Patent number: 11921696
Abstract: A method of updating a data set using event-based conditions includes adding a first data point to the data set and triggering a first event indicating that the data set has changed. Adding the first data point to the data set triggers the first event. The method also includes, in response to the first event, updating conditions for completing the data set. The conditions are associated with action pathways for receiving or verifying missing data points in the data set. The method further includes triggering a second event indicating that the conditions for completing the data set have changed and, in response to the second event, distributing the conditions to a plurality of distributed services. Each of the plurality of distributed services is configured to execute one or more of the action pathways for receiving or verifying the missing data points in the data set.

  • Publication number: 20240065729
Abstract: An instrument for facilitating transseptal delivery of a cardiac therapeutic device is positionable in a left ventricle. The instrument includes an elongate shaft having a tubular lumen, the shaft having a proximal portion and a distal portion actively steerable between a generally straight position and a curved position. An external pull wire and an internal pull wire are each actuatable to move the distal portion to the curved position. The external pull wire extends internally through the proximal portion of the shaft and longitudinally along the exterior of the distal portion of the shaft, while the internal pull wire extends internally through the proximal portion of the shaft adjacent to the external pull wire, and extends internally through the distal portion of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 11916810
Abstract: According to one aspect, a system for resource management may perform receiving a total resource request, a vector of two or more maximum available resources associated with two or more corresponding resource providers, and a number of resource providers and calculating an individual resource request for each of the two or more resource providers by iteratively comparing the vector of two or more maximum available resources with a vector of a current average resource residual, taking a minimum between those vectors as a running tally for the individual resource requests, and recalculating the current average resource residual.

  • Publication number: 20230067251
Abstract: A roofing shake includes a first end and an opposite second end. The roofing shake has a tapered profile such that the second end is thicker than the first end. A bottom surface is configured to face a roofing structure when the roofing shake is installed on a roof and an opposite top surface. A first body portion is disposed proximate the first end. The top surface of the first body portion is configured to be at least partially covered by one or more other roofing shakes. A second body portion is disposed proximate the second end. One or more reinforcement members are embedded within the roofing shake and within the second body portion, the one or more reinforcement members positioned adjacent an outer perimeter edge of the second body portion.

  • Publication number: 20050059503
Abstract: An improved water play structure, which integrates a single water supply network of conduit with a central support infrastructure, is provided. In one embodiment, a plurality of central pedestals are interconnected to water supply legs in a staircase manner in order to deliver a single water supply to a plurality of interactive water play elements. The size of the water play structure can be increased to accommodate additional play participants by adding decks to the structure. Interactive play modules consisting of water play elements and interactive play apparatuses can be easily interchanged, which facilitates servicing, simplifies design and manufacturing, and adds variety to a play participant's recreational experience. In addition, multiple water play structures can be interconnected to each other without the need for establishing separate water supply line connections.

  • Patent number: 4016422
Abstract: This invention provides a method of measuring exposure to radiation, particularly x-rays, gamma rays and other forms of penetrating radiation. A dielectric body is provided and is equipped with a pair of electrodes on opposite sides thereof. In accordance with one procedure which may be called radiation induced thermally activated depolarization (RITAD), an electrostatic bias polarization is produced in the dielectric body, preferably by heating it to an elevated temperature, impressing a voltage between the electrodes to produce internal polarization in the body, and cooling the body while maintaining the voltage, so as to freeze in the bias polarization. The voltage is then removed, and the electrodes may be short circuited. The body is then exposed to the radiation to be measured. After such exposure, a current measuring circuit is established between the electrodes. The electrical currents in such circuit are observed and measured as the energy level of the body is raised, preferably by heating the body.
