  • Patent number: 9135479
Abstract: An antenna assembly includes a stand having a convex outer surface positioned to intercept and engage a vehicle tire as the vehicle tire passes over the convex stand surface. The height and contour of the convex stand surface slows the rotational rate of the vehicle tire, and thereby a transmitting device carried by the tire, to a preferred rotational read rate as the vehicle tire passes over the convex surface. One or more antenna members mount to the stand proximal to the convex surface, each antenna having a directionally aimed tilted antenna field positioned to continuously receive data transmission from the electronic transmitting device as the vehicle tire passes over the convex stand surface at the reduced rotational read rate.

  • Patent number: 9108476
Abstract: An air maintenance tire and pump assembly includes a pair of inline valves are positioned on respective opposite sides of an in-tire air passageway inlet junction and a pair of outlet valves positioned at a downstream side of a respective inline valve. A bypass valve is further provided extending between the downstream valve sides of the inline valves, the bypass valve operative to open and bypass the flow of inlet air through the outlet valves to the tire cavity in the event that a tire cavity pressure is greater than a preset pressure level and close when a tire cavity pressure is less than the preset pressure level.

  • Publication number: 20150074495
Abstract: Address error detection including a method that receives a read address corresponding to a read location in a memory. Data is read from the read location in the memory. The data is transformed at a computer based on the data and the read address to produce read data. Error correction codes (ECC) bits associated the read data are read from the read location in the memory. The ECC bits were generated based on the write data. It is determined whether the read data has an address error responsive to the read data and the ECC bits associated with the write data. An error is generated in response to determining that the read address has an address error.

  • Patent number: 8949694
Abstract: Address error detection including a method that receives write data and a write address, the write address corresponding to a location in a memory. Error correction code (ECC) bits are generated based on the received write data. The write data is transformed at a computer based on the write address and the write data, to produce transformed write data. The transforming is configured to cause an ECC to detect an address error during a read operation to the write address in response to a mismatch between either the write address or the read address and data read from the location. The transformed write data and the ECC bits are written to the location in memory.

  • Publication number: 20150001341
Abstract: An aircraft cabin (26) has a plurality of seat units (10) including first (10) and second (12) seat units in a first row (22) and a third seat unit (14) in a second row (24). The first and second seat units (10, 12) are separated by an aisle (38). The seats all face in the same direction (31), said direction (31) being inclined to the longitudinal axis (30) by a seat offset angle (S?), and are configurable between a bed mode and a seat mode. A console (20a) of the first seat unit (10) is directly adjacent to the aisle (38) and accommodates a foot-well (40) for use by a passenger in the seat (18c) of the third seat unit (14). At least a part of the console (20a) of the first seat unit (10), in a region no higher than a first distance from the floor, extends further into the aisle (38) than the rest of the first seat unit (10) in a region higher than the first distance from the floor.

  • Publication number: 20140315300
Abstract: We disclose a particle comprising a matrix coated thereon and having a positive charge, the particle being of a size to allow aggregation of primate or human stem cells attached thereto. The particle may comprise a substantially elongate, cylindrical or rod shaped particle having a longest dimension of between 50 ?m and 400 ?m, such as about 200 ?m. It may have a cross sectional dimension of between 20 ?m and 30 ?m. The particle may comprise a substantially compact or spherical shaped particle having a size of between about 20 ?m and about 120 ?m, for example about 65 ?m. We also disclose a method of propagating primate or human stem cells, the method comprising: providing first and second primate or human stem cells attached to first and second respective particles, allowing the first primate or human stem cell to contact the second primate or human stem cell to form an aggregate of cells and culturing the aggregate to propagate the primate or human stem cells for at least one passage.
