  • Publication number: 20180285587
Abstract: In an exemplary process, while a device is in a locked state, a lock screen interface including a camera icon is displayed on a touch-sensitive display. A gesture is detected on the touch-sensitive display. In response to a determination that the gesture is on the camera icon and meets predetermined activation criteria, the lock screen interface ceases to be displayed and an interface for a camera application displayed. In response to a determination that the gesture starts at a location on the touch-sensitive display other than the camera icon and includes movement in a first direction, the lock screen interface ceases to be displayed and an unlocked user interface with access to a plurality of applications is displayed.

  • Publication number: 20180275860
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to devices and systems that configure data access control and device-associated operating environment parameters based on a detected user identifier. In some examples, a user device identifies a user and configures the electronic device using a user's data access control profile settings and configures an ergonomic environment using the user's operating environmental profile settings. In some examples, the electronic device changes the ergonomic environment for the user, but maintains a data access control setting which was previously set for a different user.

  • Publication number: 20180270627
Abstract: Systems and methods for sharing location information during a message conversation are provided. An electronic device detects a location-sharing request from a first participant of a message conversation to share first participant location information with a second participant. The device then enables the second participant to obtain the first participant location information during a predetermined location-sharing time period. In response to detecting interaction by one of the first participant and the second participant with the message conversation during the predetermined location-sharing time period, the device extends the predetermined location-sharing time period.

  • Patent number: 10062094
Abstract: Information about a product advertised on a web page is presented separately, but concurrently, with the content of the web page, to avoid having to navigate away from the web page. The information may be automatically presented in a banner that is displayed adjacent the content of the web page. Controls on the banner initiate the display of further information, and/or enable purchase of the product, while maintaining the web page content in view on the browser. Alternatively, the display of the product information may be triggered by user selection of a link associated with that product. The information about the product may appear in an overlay sheet displayed in front of the original web page. The user can interact with controls on the sheet to initiate purchase or download of the product, or can dismiss the overlay sheet to continue viewing the content of the web page.

  • Patent number: 10051104
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products for delivery/read receipts for electronic messaging are disclosed. During one-on-one electronic messaging sessions in a conversation view format, only a single read receipt is shown only for the most recent message transmitted in the conversation. In some implementations, a delivery receipt is shown which then can be replaced or morphed into a read receipt. In a group conversation, a read receipt can be displayed for the recipient who most recently caught up in the ongoing conversation.

  • Patent number: 10037217
Abstract: A multifunction device generates a display of a first view of an application-centric library associated with an application. The application-centric library has content rules that limit files to those that include content compatible with the application. The first view includes a representation of a first file compatible with the application and added to the application-centric library. The instructions also include: while displaying the first view, detecting first inputs; in response to detecting the first inputs, generating a display of a second view comprising a representation of a second file not added to the application-centric library; while displaying the second view, detecting second inputs interpreted as a selection of the representation of the second file; and in response to detecting the second inputs, in accordance with a determination that the second file is compatible with the application, adding the second file to the application-centric library.

  • Publication number: 20180131657
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include a method for providing interactive notification elements. A device receives a first message and displays a first notification element in a first area of a user interface. The first notification element includes information about the received first message. While displaying the first notification element, the device receives a second message. In response, the device determines whether the second message is associated with the first message. When the second message is associated with the first message, the device displays a second notification element in the first area. The second notification element includes information about the received second message.

  • Patent number: 9887949
Abstract: Methods and devices display an interactive notification element at an electronic device. The method comprises detecting an occurrence of an event associated with an application. In response to detecting the occurrence of the event, a notification element is displayed. A user of the device inputs a sequence of one or more gestures to reveal actions he can take in response to the notification element. The device then displays a plurality of action option UI elements, the selection of each action option UI element causing the application to perform a different action.

  • Patent number: 9880735
Abstract: A device concurrently displays a background user interface and a first version of a notification associated with a first application. The device detects a first contact at a location that corresponds to the first version of the notification. In response to the detection, and upon a determination that the contact meets application-launching criteria, the device initiates a process to launch the first application. In response to the detecting, and upon a determination that the contact meets notification-expansion criteria, where the notification-expansion criteria require that the characteristic intensity of the contact meet a preview intensity threshold, the device displays a second version of the notification, where the second version of the notification has a size larger than the first version, includes expanded notification content that is not displayed in the first version, and is overlaid on the background user interface.

  • Publication number: 20170336943
Abstract: An electronic device displays a messaging user interface of a messaging application, including a conversation transcript of a messaging session between a user of the electronic device and at least one other user, and an application affordance. While displaying the messaging user interface, the device detects an input that activates the application affordance. In response to detecting the input that activates the application affordance, the device concurrently displays a launch icon for an application store and a plurality of launch icons for interactive applications. The device detects an input that activates the launch icon for the application store; in response to detecting the input that activates the launch icon for the application store: the device ceases to display the messaging user interface, and displays an application store user interface, including display of at least one interactive application available for download to the electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20170336948
Abstract: The device displays a messaging user interface on a display, the messaging user interface including a conversation transcript, a plurality of electronic stickers, and a message-input area. While displaying the messaging user interface, the device detects a first user input while a focus selector is at a first location in the messaging user interface that corresponds to a first electronic sticker in the plurality of electronic stickers. In response, the device places and displays the first electronic sticker in the conversation transcript. While the first electronic sticker is displayed in the conversation transcript: the device detects a second user input while a focus selector is at a second location in the messaging user interface that corresponds to the first electronic sticker in the conversation transcript.
