  • Publication number: 20190288855
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for privacy control. A unique identifier for each data element of a group of data elements (e.g., driver's license contains a group of data elements, such as name, driver's license number) is created. These identifiers may be stored along with documentation (e.g., label) of the associated data elements in a manifest file. Alternatively, the identifiers may be stored in a file outside of the manifest file. In this manner, by utilizing a data element identifier which corresponds to a random number, security of privacy information is improved as one would only be able to obtain such sensitive information by obtaining such an identifier. Furthermore, the user only needs to send the requested data elements, as opposed to all the data elements of the group of data elements, to the challenger. In this manner, the user is preserving the security of other privacy information.

  • Patent number: 10331755
Abstract: The present invention provides a mechanism for efficiently displaying a web site and its content on a mobile device independent of whether the mobile device is connected or disconnected from the network. When the mobile device requests a server hosting the web site, the server compresses the page elements which compose the web site content. The server transmits the compressed page elements in response to the mobile device's request. The mobile device decompresses the page elements and locally stores the decompressed page elements. The mobile device displays the web site content which is locally stored when a user of the mobile device so requests.

  • Patent number: 10291410
Abstract: A first digital identification document is transmitted from an identification authority to a mobile device of an identified individual. This first digital identification document is digitally signed and includes a set of attributes about the identified individual. In the same manner, a second digital identification document is also transmitted to the identified individual's mobile device. The second digital identification document is also digitally signed but includes a different set of attributes about the identified individual. The identified individual is then confronted by a series of challengers, wherein each challenger requires a different amount of information about the identified individual. Based on the identity of each challenger, the identified individual selects an appropriate identification document and transmits it to the applicable challenger's device.

  • Patent number: 10158631
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, program products and systems to reduce mistakes in production and management of digital identification cards. Embodiments of the present invention can create a digital card template design using graphical icons in a user interface display and publish the created digital card template design to a server. Embodiments of the present invention can access the server to test the published digital card template design using sample data and deploy the published digital card template design to an issuing service. Embodiments of the present invention can, responsive to receiving an acquisition URL from the issuing service, build an instance of a digital identification card from information included in the acquisition URL.

  • Publication number: 20180341775
Abstract: Methods and systems may provide for technology to receive, by a computing device, privacy information, a unique identifier (ID) and one or more digital signatures associated with the privacy information and the unique ID. Additionally, the technology may store the unique ID and the digital signature(s) to a record of an authentication log on the computing device and delete the privacy information from the computing device. In one example, the technology conducts a public key authentication of the digital signature(s).

  • Publication number: 20180335201
Abstract: A rescue torch apparatus utilizes coherent and incoherent light sources to help firefighters navigate through smoke and fire filled environments. The rescue torch apparatus includes a coherent-light emitter, an incoherent-light emitter, an elongated body, a rotatable-activation mechanism, a portable power unit, and an inductive receiver. The incoherent-light emitter emits continuous light for general illumination or short bursts of light to activate photo-luminescent display panels worn by firefighters. The coherent-light emitter emits beams of coherent light that penetrate through smoke filled environments and outline obstacles. The elongated body houses and protects the coherent-light emitter and the incoherent-light emitter. The rotatable-activation mechanism allows for hands-free operation of the light sources. Power is provided by a portable power unit mated to an inductive receiver for wireless recharging.

  • Patent number: 10047929
Abstract: A system and method of generating perceived white light by laser. The system comprises a laser, a phosphoric substrate, and optionally a diffraction grating. In one embodiment, a blue laser beam from the laser penetrates the phosphoric substrate to create perceived white light in a Gaussian distribution appropriate for emergency lighting. In another embodiment, the blue laser beam is split into multiple beams by the diffraction grating. The multiple beams penetrate the phosphoric substrate to create perceived white light in a Gaussian distribution appropriate for emergency lighting.

  • Patent number: 9930017
Abstract: Methods and systems of authenticating electronic identification (ID) documents may provide for receiving a decryption key and an encrypted ID document from a certificate authority server at a mobile device, wherein the encrypted ID document includes a read only document having a photograph of an individual. Additionally, the decryption key may be applied to the encrypted ID document to obtain a decryption result in response to a display request. The decryption result can be output via a display of the mobile device, wherein the encrypted ID document can be sent to a challenge terminal if a challenge request is received.
