  • Patent number: 8589515
Abstract: Each of a group of visible widgets are registered by an aggregated widget request processing module for aggregated data request processing. It is determined that an aggregated data update event associated with at least one of the registered visible widgets has occurred. Data associated with the aggregated data update event is obtained from a server. The data is distributed among the group of visible widgets based upon an aggregated data distribution profile.

  • Patent number: 8543910
Abstract: A method includes presenting a content page of a number of content pages on a display of an electronic device. The content page is placed in a content page container. A page turning container is created having length and width that is based on length and width of the content page, and the page turning container is positioned off-angle relative to a display of an electronic device. The content page container is positioned within the page turning container at approximately at a same angle as the display of the electronic device. A dog ear is placed in a dog ear container such that the initial size of the dog ear covers the top corner of the content page is within the page turning container. The method includes performing page turning operations comprising rotating the page turning container and rotating and shifting the content page container and the dog ear container.

  • Patent number: 8495622
Abstract: The present invention discloses a software program that includes a first set of one or more compressed files and an executable file. The executable file can include a second set of one or more compressed files. The software program can be a self-executing program stored in a machine readable medium. Executing the software program can result in an automatic extraction of files contained within the first set and the second set of compressed files. In one embodiment, the software program can be an installation program, which includes a configuration file specifying settings to be applied during an installation process. The installation program can be dynamically constructed at a time an installation file is requested. The installation program can be a network lean file containing only those necessary components for a customized installation, which minimizes an amount of time and bandwidth expended when transferring the installation program over a network.

  • Patent number: 8482924
Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for dissipating heat produced by a laser for lighting projection to enable a passive encapsulated enclosure. The laser is mounted into a collar system which integrates to the internal enclosure body with a single or plurality of bonded extending facet planes. The facet planes can conduct and radiate heat to the internal enclosure body planes which dissipate heat to the outside environment of the closed enclosure as a heat sink.

  • Patent number: 8170863
Abstract: Under the present invention, the portlets of a portal page are individually configured for translation of the web content therein. In configuring a portlet, a set of specifications is designated. Once such specification is a translation paradigm that dictates whether translation of the web content within the portlet will be automatic, or viewer initiated. By individually configuring the portlets, the entire portal page is not translated as a whole, but rather the web content is translated on a portlet-by-portlet basis.
