  • Patent number: 11907316
Abstract: A processor-implemented method of creating a hyperlink from a text messaging text entry field in a text messaging app on a user's mobile device includes the app assigning one or more keyboard characters as control characters which designate a start of a text search string and an end of a text search string. The user enters text including the control characters into the text messaging app text entry field. Upon the user activating a send command to send a text message that includes the start and end control characters, displaying the search string as a hyperlinked text in the message thread which is selectable to invoke a search outside of the text messaging app.

  • Publication number: 20200401645
Abstract: Provided herein is a processor-implemented method of creating a hyperlink from a text messaging text entry field in a text messaging app on a user's mobile device. The method includes assigning within the messaging app one or more keyboard characters as control characters respectively designating a start of a text search string and an end of a text search string; enabling the user to enter text including the control characters into the text messaging app text entry field; and upon the user activating a send command to send a text message that includes the start and end control characters defining the bounds of a search text string, displaying the search string as a hyperlinked text in the message thread selectable to invoke a search outside of the text messaging app.

  • Publication number: 20160293036
Abstract: An adaptive system, method, and computer-readable medium having instructions thereon for implementing a method via a processor are provided to determine a user's level of proficiency in a specific area. In embodiments, a user's level of proficiency is determined using a machine-learning system in which the system and method adapt to the user's level, based on that user's inputted answers and other users' inputted answers, in order to create a more insightful process of determination based on the user's comprehension and other factors observed via processor.

  • Patent number: 8484161
Abstract: In general, the invention relates to a method for migrating a source file system residing on a source server to a destination server. The method includes sending a first snapshot of the source file system from the source server to the destination server and creating, using the first snapshot, a migrated file system on the destination server. The method further includes sequentially sending, to the destination server, a set of snapshot deltas including modifications to the source file system, updating the migrated file system using the set of snapshot deltas, determining that a freeze threshold is exceeded, freezing the source file system, sending a final snapshot delta from the source server to the destination server, updating the migrated file system using the final snapshot delta, creating a file system husk referencing the migrated file system, and thawing the source file system and the migrated file system.

  • Patent number: 7752241
Abstract: File system components of a messaged based file system may perform different functions of the file system and may communicate through a file system-independent message interface to fulfill file I/O naming requests. A file system component may receive a message from another file system component and in response may perform a sub-function of the file system and then may send another message to a file system component to perform another function of the file system. File system components may each operate on separate devices or multiple file system components may execute on a single device. File system components may also communicate using messaging components that in turn may communicate with other messaging components according to the file system-independent message interface. A single messaging component may be configured to communicate with multiple file system components on a single device. Alternatively, each file system component may communicate through a single, paired messaging component.

  • Patent number: 7389722
Abstract: A gas mixing system and method designed to flush produce with a gas-air mixture of desired oxygen concentration to preserve the produce. The produce is placed in a vacuum vessel, which is then evacuated to a desired degree. Atmospheric air is provided to the vacuum vessel via an air valve, and nitrogen gas is provided to the vacuum vessel via a gas valve. A valve controller operates in a first mode wherein the air valve is a fully open master valve and the gas valve is a partially or fully open slave valve, and operates in a second mode wherein the gas valve is a fully open master valve and the air valve is a partially or fully open slave valve. The system automatically switches between the two modes to accommodate changing conditions, to maintain the desired oxygen concentration in the gas-air mixture. Multiple modes are possible with greater numbers of valves.
