  • Publication number: 20070123956
Abstract: A distributed system comprises a programming device and a remotely located server. During a programming session, the programming device transmits programs and rating information associated with the programs to the server. The server presents the rating information to a clinician to assist the clinician in selecting from among programs tested during the programming session. The programming device may also transmit patient information and device configuration information to the server for storage with selected programs and rating information within a database as part of a patient record. Programs and information received from a plurality of programming devices and for a plurality of patients may be stored in the database and analyzed by the server to provide responses to user queries made by clinicians via programming devices.

  • Publication number: 20070120381
Abstract: Disclosed is a reusable locking unit and a one time use electrically conductive molded thermoplastic shackle loaded with carbon black particles and having a linear resistance that is periodically monitored. The locking unit includes an integrated circuit for measuring shackle impedance through terminals capacitively coupled to the shackle. The terminals allow for adjustment of the length of the seal shackle in the locked secured state. The terminals and shackle form an RC network having a complex impedance that manifests the locked adjusted shackle length. Two AC signals at two different frequencies are used to measure impedance, which is compared with an initially determined or continually generated reference impedance to determine a tampered state of the shackle. Temperature compensation is also disclosed. A time stamp is stored for noting the tampering time of occurrence.

  • Publication number: 20070119757
Abstract: A modular bin or pocket has an integrated transport assembly and mail piece diverter assembly and is usable in a bin stacker section in mail handling and sorting systems. The modular bin is individually removable, interchangeable and replaceable from the bin stacker sections of the mail processing system to allow for repair or maintenance of malfunctioning bins leading to reduced down time of the mail processing system. The modular bin further enables vertical and/or horizontal progressive modularity, i.e., vertical and/or horizontal expansion, of the bin stacker sections of the mail processing system which allows for cost-effective expansion of mail handling systems. Further, there is disclosed a tray management system and a tier diverter system that are usable in mail handling systems that use the modular bin with double sided bin stacker sections or single sided bin stacker sections with or without a turnaround section.

  • Publication number: 20070120584
Abstract: A phase- or frequency-locked loop circuit (200) that generates an accurate output signal (ACC_SYN_OUT) even in the presence of edge-triggering-type glitches (148, 304A, 304B) in the input reference clock signal (REF_CLK). The locked-loop circuit includes a phase or frequency difference detector (216) and a glitch detector (208) that generates a trigger signal (GLITCH_DETECTED) upon detection of at least one glitch. The trigger signal resets the difference detector so as to abort the updating of the output signal that the glitch would otherwise cause.

  • Publication number: 20070119145
Abstract: A compressor diffuser for a gas turbine engine is provided with a dirt separator. The dirt separator ensures the air having moved downstream of the compressor section, and moving toward the combustion section, is separated into a dirtier air flow path directly radially outwardly, and a cleaner airflow path directed radially inwardly. In this manner, the air reaching a combustion section, and the air being utilized for radially inner cooling air is relatively cleaner air. Further, the dirt separator provides a convenient surface for mounting a pressure sensor. In one embodiment, the dirt separator is mounted within the diffuser housing, and in a second embodiment, it is mounted immediately downstream.

  • Publication number: 20070124793
Abstract: A method and system is provided for organizing and routing multiple memory requests from a plurality of clients to multiple memories. Requests from a plurality of clients, including a plurality of clients of the same type, such as multiple MPEG decoders, are directed to different memory controllers by a router. The memory controllers order the client requests by requests among similar client types. The memory controllers also order the client requests by different client types The ordered requests are then delivered to memory Returned data is sent back to the clients. A method of mapping motion pictures experts group (MPEG) video information for improved efficiency is presented, wherein image information is stored in blocks of memory referred to as tiles. Tiles are mapped in memory so that adjacent tiles only correspond to different banks of memory.

  • Publication number: 20070120288
Abstract: Composite tooling is fabricated with low cost dry fabrics and a neat resin instead of expensive prepregs. Dry, three-dimensional woven joint preforms are placed on a dry tool substrate and dry, 3D preforms are also placed between pre-cured egg crate-like junctions. The entire tool substrate and substrate-to-support structure joints are then resin-infused simultaneously through the use of rota-molded tooling aids, providing an additional reduction in cost. Tight control of resin content and distribution with vacuum infusion is thereby provided. This process eliminates the primary cause of structural weakness and cooling distortion, which typically occur at the attachment interface when existing methods are used. The preforms provide significantly greater pull-off strengths at interfaces than do hand-laid tie plies. Issues with tool surface durability are addressed through the use of ceramic-filled face coat.

  • Publication number: 20070119016
Abstract: An integrated shop vacuum and air compressor system is provided with a wet and dry vacuuming section and a compressor section, each of which is mounted on a easy to relocate trolley with at least three wheels. The vacuum system has a separate motor from the compressor and is independently operable with full capacity. A filter in front of the vacuum suction prevents debris and moisture from entering the vacuum-generating unit. The vacuum hose decreases in diameter as a function of distance from the unit to increase airflow velocity. Air pressure within a compressed air storage tank in the compressor section is sensed and controlled. The integrated shop vacuum and air compressor system provides dry vacuuming, wet vacuuming, high pressure air delivery and air blowing capability from a single, mobile unit.
