  • Patent number: 10981400
Abstract: A printer (5) operable to print a message in strokes on a substrate (7) passing in a print direction (8) along a moving line (6), wherein the printer is operable (15) to receive an indication of an allowable increase in length in the print direction of a message due to an increase in length in the print direction of gaps between successive strokes printed by the printer, to receive (14) an indication (9) of a speed of movement in the print direction of a moving line, to determine from the indication of the speed of movement of the moving line whether an increase in length in the print direction of a message printed by the printer is greater than the allowable increase in length and, if so, to generate an alert.

  • Patent number: 10967261
Abstract: Modern computer based gaming in contrast to traditional gaming does not present the user/player with “responsibility” in that failure has negligible or no consequences and losing an element or part of the game is now essentially limited to failure of the standalone gaming console or failure to maintain an active account with some premium Internet based gaming applications. However, if the player's character within a game was linked to a physical element that stored their data in a secure manner and was required physically to electronically connect to the gaming system for the player to play then loss of the physical element means loss of the avatar. Similarly, if the securely stored data is written down to zero upon the death of the avatar within the game then the system may prevent the user restoring their game to a prior point to replay and avoid their failure.

  • Patent number: 10953126
Abstract: The EVADE (Externally Vented Aerosol and Droplet Evacuation) system is designed to treat collected aerosols with ultraviolet radiation and exposure to ozone gas to prevent the spread of COVID or other infectious pathogens. The system uses an externally vented central vacuum system which produces up to 280 CFM of vacuum flow to facilitate collection of potentially contaminated oral aerosols and droplets generated by instrumentation of any type within the medical, dental or any other field which generates said aerosols. The aerosols are collected within a mirrored chamber, reflecting UVC light in all directions and exposing the aerosols to ozone before moving through HEPA particle filtration and out of the environment through the exhaust of a central vacuum system.

  • Patent number: 10914697
Abstract: A drilling system includes a roller cone drill bit having a roller cone and at least one antenna loop disposed in the roller cone for detecting magnetic or electromagnetic waves indicative of a target, a resistivity, or a boundary of the subterranean formation, man-made structure, or object. The drilling system may utilize the antenna loop to determine resistivity measurements of a subterranean formation through which the drill bit is being drilled. The location of the antenna in the roller cone may enable increased look-ahead and look-around measurements. In addition, the location of the antenna in the roller cone may facilitate anisotropic resistivity measurements to aid in steering the drill string into a desired portion of the subterranean formation.
