  • Publication number: 20070158010
Abstract: A plies sleeve for use in forming a core of plies and beads on a core build mandrel where the plies sleeve is woven as a tubular sleeve having a uniform circumference that will stretch laterally, increasing the sleeve circumference to fit over a top surface or crown of the core build mandrel and is of a length to where each sleeve side will fold down an opposite core build mandrel side, passing around a tire bead, back up the cored build mandrel side and over the top surface or crown edge. Which outward sleeve stretching is provided by a select weave where Rayon cords are spiral wound as vertical components of approximately seven point (7.5) pics per inch, and elastic cords are included as horizontal components of approximately eight (8) pics per inch that are formed as pre-cure elastic cords from a urethane material and are cotton wound, to allow for sleeve stretching and provide for a return of the plies sleeve to its un-stretched state.

  • Publication number: 20070157861
Abstract: An apparatus for stitching a fabric and/or attaching guide rings to the fabric for possible use in a covering for an architectural opening includes a lift bar to which a top edge of the fabric is connected so the fabric can hang into an underlying housing where a plurality of individually operated clamps are positioned. The clamps can manipulate the fabric as the lift bar is raised or lowered while horizontal tucks are formed in the fabric with a reciprocating tucker blade. A pair of traversing sewing machines are used to stitch and/or attach guide rings to the tuck in an automated operation. After all operations are complete on a tuck, the fabric is raised a predetermined amount so that a repeated operation can be applied to the fabric at a predetermined distance below the first operation where by the fabric can be provided with rows of tucks forming tunnels to which guide rings are attached.

  • Publication number: 20070161956
Abstract: A catheter introducer system is provided with a catheter sheath having a valve providing for a friction fit around a catheter. The friction fit is selectively adjustable to vary between a first configuration for longitudinal movement of the catheter through the valve and a second configuration for holding the catheter longitudinally in place. The valve may includes a chuck to grip the catheter radially. The chuck may include an annular base and an opposed annular clamp, and a washer disposed between the base and the clamp. At least one of the base and the clamp may include a beveled surface that forces the washer radially inwardly as the base and the clamp are drawn together. The system also includes one or more dilators layered within the sheath. The layered dilators and sheaths are typically softer and more hydrophilic proceeding from the innermost dilator out to the sheath. The dilator may be reinforced by a wire embedded in the body of the dilator.

Abstract: A sink station comprises a cabinet defining an interior space, a basin mounted to the cabinet, and a faucet for delivering fluid into the basin. A cover is provided for the sink station where the cover is movable over a range of motion between a closed position where the cover overlies the open top of the basin and a stored position where the cover is at least partially received in the basin. The cover can be operably coupled to the sink station through the range of motion. The cover can be connected to the basin through a multi-motion coupling that permits the cover to move in a first motion and a second motion different from the first motion to move the cover between the closed and stored positions. • Publication number: 20070160519
Abstract: The present invention provides for the preparation of an “optimized” VPO4 phase or V—P—O/C precursor. The VPO4 precursor is an amorphous or nanocrystalline powder. The V—P—O/C precursor is amorphous in nature and contains finely divided and dispersed carbon. Throughout the specification it is understood that the VPO4 precursor and the V—P—O/C precursor materials can be used interchangeably to produce the final vanadium phosphates, with the V—P—O/C precursor material being the preferred precursor. The precursors can subsequently be used to make vanadium based electroactive materials and use of such precursor materials offers significant advantages over other processes known for preparing vanadium phosphate compounds.
