  • Patent number: 11243582
Abstract: An information handling system housing vents air at a grid of openings formed in a wall with a member extending outward from each intersection of the grid to define air channels. Each member terminates with a polished planar surface that reflects light against a flat underlying material. Variable angles of the polished planar surface relative to the plane of the wall creates a presentation of isolated reflections against the flat background that vary based upon a viewing angle of the housing wall.

  • Publication number: 20220035860
Abstract: Playlists comprising media objects can be modified by adding personalized supplemental media objects that can provide a customized entertainment experience. As an example, an application can overlay a playlist on a consumer's device and can call a user-configurable rules engine that can select a supplemental media object (e.g., a pre-recorded and/or dynamically synthesized media file) that is to be played with the media objects. In one example, the supplemental media object can be associated with a user-selected voice personality and can be streamed from a network storage device via a communication network coupled to the consumer device.

  • Publication number: 20220023206
Abstract: Provided are shear-thinning ocular hydrogel compositions that comprise 0.1 to 5.0 wt. % (e.g. 0.1 to 3.5 wt. % or 0.1 to 2.5 wt. %) of a microgel particle-forming polymer; and 0.5 to 100 mM of a monovalent and/or polyvalent metal ion salt as a cross-linking agent; dispersed in an aqueous vehicle. The hydrogel compositions have a pH within the range of 3 to 8 and the viscosity of the gel composition reduces when the gel is exposed to shear. The compositions comprise decorin. The may also comprise an antibiotic, such as gentamicin, and an anti-inflammatory steroid, such as prednisolone. The compositions are suitable for medical use in the treatment of the eye. For example, the compositions are suitable for use in the inhibition of scarring and/or the prevention or treatment of microbial keratitis.

  • Publication number: 20220025658
Abstract: A vertical joint system for substrates is formed with joints and which engaged by relative motion in a direction perpendicular to major surfaces and of the substrate. The joints are configured to enable relative rotation of up to 3 degrees while maintaining engagement of the joints. The joints and are further configured to form two locking planes one on each of the inner and outer most sides of the joint. Engagement about the locking planes is provided by transverse outward extending surfaces. At least one surface in each pair of engaging surfaces is smoothly curved. The joints and can be further arranged to provide a third locking plane parallel to and between the locking planes. The joints are disengaged by combination of a downward rotation of one joint relative the other then application of a downward force.

  • Publication number: 20220009050
Abstract: A fabrication carrier for fiber optic connectors defines a body configured to removably hold a plurality of fiber optic ferrules. The body allows each of the fiber optic ferrules to be movable along its axis under a bias when the ferrules are mounted to the body. The body can be coupled to a polishing plate for use with a ferrule polishing apparatus in a polishing step. Coupling of the body to the polishing plate allows each of the ferrules to at least partially protrude past a bottom face of the polishing plate for contact with the polishing apparatus. The body of the fabrication carrier is configured as a fixture that can be used in at least one additional fabrication step aside from the polishing step when not mounted to the polishing plate.
