Abstract: The invention relates to a needle protector assembly (10) comprising a needle defining an axial direction and a protective cover for the needle. The needle is attached to a needle hub which is provided with wings on opposite sides thereof and which can be moved relative to the protective cover between a distal position in which at least a tip of the needle protrudes from the protective cover, and a proximal position in which the needle is fully received in the protective cover. The protective cover comprises first (26) and second parts (28) which together form an elongate housing along which the needle hub can move between the distal and proximal positions, wherein the first and second parts define elongate slots on opposite sides of the housing through which the wings (16) protrude.

Abstract: An IV flow rate regulator for precision dosage of medical liquids including a first part, a second part with an integrated outlet tubular connector and a mating attachment part with an integrated inlet tubular connector, coupled to one another in a rotatable manner with a first elastic gasket in a depression in the base wall of the second part, a second elastic gasket in a depression in the base wall of the mating attachment part, a dosing passage groove provided between the first and second gaskets, the dosing groove opening progressively the communication between the inlet tubular connector and the outlet tubular connector by rotation of the first and second parts. Also provided is a method for the fabrication of the said IV flow regulator.

Abstract: The invention relates to a needle safety device for a medical device. The needle safety device includes: a base portion having a bore extending therethrough for receiving a needle; and two opposing jaws extending from the base portion each having a head portion in the region of its free end. At least one of the head portions forms a locking shoulder for securing the needle safety device in a housing of the medical device. An elastic element surrounds the jaws in a region between the base portion and the head portions. The jaws can be spread apart against a restoring force of the elastic element in order to allow the needle received in the bore to extend all the way-through the needle safety device. Abstract: A safety device for the needle of intravenous catheter apparatus comprising of a tip blocker which blocks the needle tip, a spring assembled in compressed state held by a disc inside the groove of the tip blocker which pushes the tip blocker downwards and a bush fitted in the needle passageway which does not allow the needle to come out of the safety device. The safety device is capable of locking inside it and covering the needle tip so that the needle of intravenous catheter apparatus can be disposed of safely.
