  • Patent number: 10453114
Abstract: Selective/controlled disclosure of user information to private workspaces of other users/invitees based on context/contextual relations, and a shared workspace or market to collaborate amongst the other users (e.g., to crowd-source gifts of interest to the recipient). Contextual disclosure may be based on common context or commonality under a set of conditions, such as a topic, which may include known topics of relationships amongst the users and/or undiscovered contexts. As an example, items of interest to each user are identified and clustered, keywords are assigned to the clusters indicative of topics/subjects of interests to the respective users, recipient keywords are compared to keywords of an invitee to identify common keywords as shared interests, and items of interest to the recipient that relate to the common keywords are disclosed to the invitee as a personalized wish-list. Keyword weighting and/or keyword/item level privacy designations may be provided to further control disclosure.

  • Patent number: 10417445
Abstract: Technologies are presented that provide context-aware privacy metering regarding establishments, such as consumer establishments. A method of rating privacy of one or more establishments may include receiving a location designation of a user device from the user device (automatically or via user input), obtaining privacy-related information regarding one or more establishments in proximity of the location designation, and generating one or more privacy score vector algorithms for the one or more establishments based on the privacy-related information regarding the one or more establishments. The method may further include obtaining a privacy profile of the user, determining one or more privacy scores for the one or more establishments by applying the privacy profile of the user to the one or more privacy score vector algorithms. The method may further include generating and providing a privacy-related recommendation regarding a particular establishment.

  • Patent number: 10395515
Abstract: A sensor aggregator is disclosed that may instantiate virtual sensors providing virtual sensor data. Virtual sensor data may be based at least in part on data shared by transitory sensors that come into an environment associated with the aggregator. An aggregator may have local sensors, e.g., non-transitory sensors associated therewith or disposed therein, or mobile sensors operating in conjunction with or for the aggregator, that may be used to provide sensor data to the aggregator that may also be provided as sensor output from the aggregator. An aggregator may combine different sensor inputs to derive virtual sensors based on received sensor data. In an emergency, an aggregator may assist with exit strategies based conditions sensed in various locations to help route people away from problems. Multiple aggregators may share data and trust mechanisms employed to determine if received sensor data may be trusted/used by an aggregator.

  • Publication number: 20190230411
Abstract: A system and method for real-time alteration of media content based on stress monitoring is disclosed. A computer system present a single media content item in two distinct content streams to a first and second user. Using sensor generated data the computer system measures at least one user response indicator for the first and second user and estimates a stress level for the first and second users. The computer system determines whether the estimated stress level for the first user exceeds a first predetermined stress threshold. In accordance with a determination that the estimated stress level for the first user exceeds a first predetermined stress threshold the computer system alters the first stream of the presented media content item to modify the particular portion of the media content item associated with the estimated stress level for the first user.

  • Patent number: 10313427
Abstract: Technologies are presented that optimize application management on a computing device through contextual application archival and retrieval. A method of managing applications may include: learning contextual relevancy of one or more applications installed on a computing device to a user of the device and determining whether an application is no longer contextually relevant to the user. If the application is no longer contextually relevant, the device may send a request to an application management service to obtain and/or maintain the application; create a placeholder for the application at the device; and remove the application from the device. The device may monitor contextual inputs for relevancy of the archived application. If contextual relevancy is determined, the device may send a request to the service to provide the archived application or a replacement of the archived application to the device; receive the requested application; install the requested application; and remove the placeholder.

  • Publication number: 20190149942
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for a proximity-based connection facilitation device (“PBC”) may be described which may facilitate discovery and connection to computing devices. The PBC may present visual elements representing devices based on their locations, such as their proximity to the PBC. The PBC may present visual elements for a limited set of devices. The PBC may present computing devices in a visual manner that may depict their proximity to the PBC. The PBC may also provide for facilitated connection to devices that are not as proximate to the PBC. The PBC may facilitate identification of devices that are proximate to an identified device. By facilitating a user in selecting a first device and then visualizing devices proximate to the first device, the PBC may facilitate a user in chaining from a first device to devices that are less easily identified. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
