  • Publication number: 20200401999
Abstract: Package delivery to homes or after-hours business delivery exposes a package to theft, weather damage, and extreme temperatures. To receive and protect delivered packages, a package receiving station is configured to receive package from delivery vehicles. The station includes walls that extend upward to create an interior space of the station and a roof or other movable portion that is moveable between a first position covering the interior space and a second position allowing access to the interior space. A motor causes movement of the moveable roof or movable portion and an access portal in the wall allows access into the interior space to retrieve the package. A receiver receives a signal from or detects the arrival of the delivery vehicle and generates a control signal. A controller, responsive to the control signal, sends an activation signal to the motor to move the moveable roof or movable portion.

  • Publication number: 20190191590
Abstract: Disclosed is an integrated data center that provides for efficient cooling as well as efficient wire routing The data center houses electronic equipment stored in clusters of cabinets. The space inside the data center is shared, such as on a leased basis, between multiple different entities who operate their own electronic equipment. To achieve privacy, security, and cooling air flow, one or more layers of a security paneling surround one or more clusters of cabinets to create a secure interior space. This allows access to only authorized personal, prevents people from viewing into the secure interior space, and allows cooling air flow to pass into the secure interior space to cool the electronic equipment. The security paneling comprises sheets of metal with small apertures. Two or more security panels may be arranged with offset apertures to further prevent viewing of the electronic equipment in the secure interior space.

  • Patent number: 10318843
Abstract: An apparatus that includes a computer server having processing circuitry operatively coupled to a memory and a communication interface is provided. A remote image capture device is communicatively coupled to the computer server via the communication interface. The apparatus acquires a captured image of a storage system from the image capture device. The apparatus identifies a pair of physical items in the image, including determining identities of each item of the pair of physical items, and identifying locations in the storage system of each physical item of the pair of physical items. The apparatus processes the image to measure a physical proximity between the pair of physical items, and generates or updates a measure of similarity between the pair of physical items based on the measured physical proximity. The apparatus can also process multiple images to determine similarity between different storage systems or associated persons based on item proximities.
