  • Patent number: 9497513
Abstract: An apparatus, system and method for use in for use in dynamically adjusting an encoder bit rate according to a determined available bandwidth for wirelessly communicating source data. A method detects a first available bandwidth, determines a first encoder bit rate according to the available bandwidth, encodes a signal at the first encoder bit rate, detects a change in the available bandwidth such that there is a second available bandwidth, determines a second encoder bit rate according to the second available bandwidth, and encodes the signal at the second encoder bit rate. Encoding the signal at the second encoder bit rate can include encoding a subsequent frame of the signal. The method can further wirelessly communicate the signal encoded at the first encoder bit rate in real-time and wirelessly communicate the signal encoded at the second encoder bit rate in real-time.

  • Patent number: 9471293
Abstract: Systems and methods are described that allow for multiple pluggable user interactive system (UIS) applications to be added or removed from a UIS system while maintaining controlled access by users to each currently available application. Users can access the system using multimedia connections, such as voice, text, video, web, etc., and users have access to certain subsets of the available applications depending on their identity. In addition, users can define their own preferences, which places restrictions on which applications they can access from which media. In operation, the system provides the access restrictions and navigation for the applications outside of the application structure.

  • Patent number: 9460881
Abstract: Circuit breakers with cooperating plug and socket assemblies which are configured as separate spaced apart components, with plugs and sockets held spaced apart from the circuit breaker body, typically above the top of the circuit breaker body. The plug assembly can have a short compact profile and can include pairs of plugs held by an insulated support with a compact spacing between adjacent pairs and upper and lower plugs of each plug pair. The plug assembly can be attached to a racking frame to allow the plug assembly to be retracted during a rack-out action of the unit from a motor control center.

  • Patent number: 9429833
Abstract: A device includes a projection and camera system to create an augmented reality environment in which images are projected onto a scene and user movement within the scene is captured. In one implementation, the projection and camera system are mounted in a movable housing or head that is supported by a repositionable support structure. The housing can be moved to a desired position and then locked into a stationary and stable position for creation of the augmented realty environment.

  • Publication number: 20160239060
Abstract: The feature size of semiconductor devices continues to decrease in each new generation. Smaller channel lengths lead to increased leakage currents. To reduce leakage current, some power domains within a device may be powered off (e.g., power collapsed) during periods of inactivity. However, when power is returned to the collapsed domains, circuitry in other power domains may experience significant processing overhead associated with reconfiguring communication channels to the newly powered domains. Provided in the present disclosure are exemplary techniques for isolating power domains to promote flexible power collapse while better managing the processing overhead associated with reestablishing data connections.

  • Patent number: 9394715
Abstract: The present subject matter is directed to a lattice tower covering and/or assembly for a wind turbine. The lattice tower assembly includes a plurality of structural members connected together to define an open lattice tower. The structural members include a plurality of supports and a plurality of inner and outer cross-support members. The inner and outer cross-support members are connected between the supports so as to define one or more openings. The lattice tower assembly also includes a tower covering having one or more panel elements retained in position between the supports. Further, the panel elements are configured with an exterior side of the outer cross-support members so as to cover at least a portion of one or more of the openings. In addition, the lattice tower covering includes a surface area defined by the plurality of supports and the one or more panel elements.

  • Patent number: 9338904
Abstract: A motor control center (MCC) unit for installation in a compartment of an MCC includes a frame, a bus contact assembly supported by the frame and comprising at least one moveable bus contact configured to releasably engage at least one power bus of the MCC, an auxiliary power input supported by the frame and configured to be connected to an external power source, and a control circuit supported by the frame. The MCC unit further includes an interlock circuit configured to selectively couple the control circuit to the at least one bus contact and the auxiliary power input responsive to positioning of the at least one bus contact. The interlock circuit may be configured to prevent power flow between the control circuit and the auxiliary power input when the at least one bus contact is engaged with the power bus.

  • Patent number: 9277137
Abstract: Two or more imagers having associated frame rates are each configured with a global shutter having an exposure interval less than a frame interval. The exposure interval for a first imager is offset from the exposure interval of a second imager such that the first imager is exposed while the second imager is not exposed. When interleaved, an effective frame rate exceeds the individual frame rates provided by the individual imagers. This interleaved imaging system may be used to recover, at high frame rates, images that are projected from spatial light modulators.
