  • Patent number: 10412219
Abstract: A system for managing customer involvement with a contact center involves one or more monitoring applications executing on one or more computerized servers associated with the contact center, the applications monitoring communications between individual customers and the center; and a rules engine executing on the one or more computerized servers, the rules engine accessible to the monitoring application, the rules engine enabled to generate and implement business rules. Upon detection by one of the monitoring applications of an instance of unsuccessful or incomplete interaction between a customer and the contact center, session data determined during monitoring is used by the rules engine to determine contact center-initiated activity to be implemented to establish new communication with the customer to resolve issues related to the unsuccessful or incomplete interaction.

  • Publication number: 20190241340
Abstract: A molded plastic tray adapted to receive a plastic overwrap film for preservation, secure handling and display of a perishable food product in the wrapped tray, such as fresh fruit or vegetables. The tray has a pair of central ribbing elements extending from opposing longitudinal side walls and into the bottom wall and is designed to provide structural rigidity that resists warping and collapse, thus enabling the overwrapped tray to be handled, shipped, and displayed with minimal leakage while preserving the food product therein. The tray is easy to manufacture and provides a lightweight and cost effective packaging product. The tray has a rectangular shape that provides for consistent wrapping strength and can be handled on standard processing equipment.

  • Patent number: 10366795
Abstract: The design of a compact, high-efficiency, high-flux capable compact-accelerator fusion neutron generator (FNG) is discussed. FNG's can be used in a variety of industrial analysis applications to replace the use of radioisotopes which pose higher risks to both the end user and national security. High efficiency, long lifetime, and high power-handling capability are achieved though innovative target materials and ion source technology. The device can be sealed up for neutron radiography applications, or down for borehole analysis or other compact applications. Advanced technologies such as custom neutron output energy spectrum, pulsing, and associated particle imaging can be incorporated.

  • Publication number: 20190228034
Abstract: A first connection state may be entered on a computing device. While the computing device is in the first connection state, actions taken on a playlist on the computing device may be applied to the playlist and not applied to a playback queue associated with a zone. An input may be received via the computing device, indicating a selection of the zone. In response to receiving the input, a second connection state may be entered. Entering the second connection state may comprise establishing a connected state between the computing device and the one or more playback devices. While the connected state is established, one or more actions taken on the playlist on the computing device may be applied to the playlist and transmitted, in a message to the zone over a network. The one or more actions may be one or more corresponding actions applied to the playback queue.

  • Patent number: 10332191
Abstract: A steganographic-based ordering system and method using a digital identification (ID) are described. A user may obtain a digital ID card on a user device and select modes for interacting with the vendor. Using the digital ID, the user can create a personal profile that indicates the user's preferences, and place an order for an item (e.g., a product or service) through the digital ID. The order may be steganographically-embedded along with user data within the digital ID. The digital ID including the steganographically-em bedded order is transmitted to a digital ID reader located at the vendor. When completing an order for the user, the digital ID reader may de-embed user and order data from the received digital ID to obtain information about the user and provide more personalized service to complete the order.

  • Patent number: 10330053
Abstract: Systems and methods for operating a turbocharged engine are described. In one example, a system comprises a cylinder head having a first and second exhaust duct separately coupled to first and second groups of cylinders, each of the first and second exhaust ducts leading to an exhaust driven turbine mounted inside the cylinder head on a bearing, the bearing located within a bearing housing supported by the cylinder head. In this way, exhaust pulses remain separate up to the turbine mounted inside the cylinder head.

  • Publication number: 20190182565
Abstract: A computer implemented method for algorithmically editing digital video content is disclosed. A video file containing source video is processed to extract metadata. Label taxonomies are applied to extracted metadata. The labelled metadata is processed to identify higher-level labels. Identified higher-level labels are stored as additional metadata associated with the video file. A clip generating algorithm applies the stored metadata for selectively editing the source video to generate a plurality of different candidate video clips. Responsive to determining a clip presentation trigger on a viewer device, a clip selection algorithm is implemented that applies engagement data and metadata for the candidate video clips to select one of the stored candidate video clips. The engagement data is representative of one or more engagement metrics recorded for at least one of the stored candidate video clips. The selected video clip is presented to one or more viewers via corresponding viewer devices.
