  • Publication number: 20180079126
Abstract: A plastic melt machine includes a feed screw rotatably mounted in a barrel and driven in rotation about a longitudinal screw axis of the feed screw by a screw drive to plasticize material, and an apparatus for driving a device independently of the feed screw. The device can be any rotatable device associated with the feed screw wherein the device is rotatable about a drive axis and is in fluid communication with the barrel to receive the plasticized material. The drive axis is coaxial with the screw axis. A drive shaft couples the device to the device drive, or to the screw drive through a speed changer, for rotating the device independently of the rotation of the feed screw by the screw drive.

  • Publication number: 20150273753
Abstract: An extruder screw comprises a core extending longitudinally from a feed end to a discharge end thereof. The core has a helical primary thread formed thereon. At least one discontinuity is fog lied in the primary thread to divide the primary thread into a plurality of primary thread portions spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction of the core. The at least one discontinuity formed in the primary thread may be formed adjacent a downstream end of a compression section of the screw or spanning a transition from the compression section to a section of the screw disposed downstream of the compression section. The discontinuity in the primary thread militates against the problem of solids wedging by allowing any solid materials being processed by the extruder screw to expand and break apart prior to the core reaching a maximum outer diameter.

  • Publication number: 20140052490
Abstract: Organizations, which may be charitable organizations, may plan, implement, and report to interested on the impact their projects. Users may create and modify components, which demonstrate a relationship between, for example, a donor donation, and an effect of that donation. Users can set up, modify and allowing reporting on, for example, activities sponsored by a charitable organization, inputs into that activity which may be sponsored by donors, and results of the activity. Results can be tracked over time producing a moving picture of the impact of the activity.

  • Publication number: 20130174191
Abstract: Systems and methods for incentivizing user interaction with promotional content on a secondary device are provided. The secondary device may be synchronized with the media content displayed on a primary device to provide promotional opportunities relevant to the displayed content. A promotional opportunity may allow a user to identify an object (which may be a product placement) embedded within the primary media content. For instance, the user may be prompted to select the object using a display screen on the secondary device. Alternatively, the user may use the secondary device to capture a photograph of the embedded object as displayed on the primary device. The user may then be rewarded for correctly identifying or photographing the embedded object.

  • Patent number: 7149640
Abstract: Electronic devices, such as memory devices are tested by applying test data, such as vectors of memory data having data field, control and address information, with a tester to detect error responses. Applied test data is captured, compressed and stored for subsequent analysis to isolate the test data associated with the error response. The saved compressed test data is de-compressed to replay the test data for a logic analyzer so that adequate history of the test data exists to determine the test cycles that included the stimulus associated with the error response. Identification of the test cycles that include the stimulus associated with the error response allows creation of test programs that run in reduced time by avoiding empty test cycles not associated with the error response.

  • Publication number: 20060174210
Abstract: The present invention includes aspects of a designer program or tool for customizing a clinical trial program to a particular protocol of a particular clinical trial. The designer program includes visual cues or mechanisms for organizing trial components within the designer program in a straightforward manner such that technically low skilled designers can implement often complex trial protocols. In an embodiment, the designer program includes validation scripts that test functions, derivations, queries and the like. Moreover, use of the designer program can include development of trial libraries that can make customizations reusable, scalable, and highly efficient.

Abstract: A light-attenuating composition and method of using it are described. The light-attenuating composition may be selectively applied to a radiant energy sensitive material on the substrate. Actinic radiation applied to the composite chemically changes portions of the radiant energy sensitive material not covered by the light-attenuating composition.
