  • Patent number: 10152482
Abstract: A computer-implemented method is disclosed for speeding up database access of electronic design automation (EDA) tool which utilizes a database manager for file access. The EDA tool accesses a plurality of design files, and each of the plurality of design files is associated with one of a plurality of design units for an integrated circuit (IC). The plurality of design files are encapsulated into an archive file which comprises a plurality of data units, wherein each of the data units corresponds to a design file. A request to access a design file will be redirected to access the archive file. The design file is then accessed by accessing the corresponding data unit in the archive file.

  • Publication number: 20170117429
Abstract: A photovoltaic device, particularly a solar cell, comprises an interface between a layer of Group III-V material and a layer of Group IV material with a thin silicon diffusion barrier provided at or near the interface. The silicon barrier controls the diffusion of Group V atoms into the Group IV material, which is doped n-type thereby. The n-type doped region can provide the p-n junction of a solar cell in the Group IV material with superior solar cell properties. It can also provide a tunnel diode in contact with a p-type region of the III-V material, which tunnel diode is also useful in solar cells.

  • Patent number: 9048289
Abstract: There is disclosed a method of forming layers of either GaAs or germanium materials such as SiGe. The germanium material, for example, may be epitaxially grown on a GaAs surface. Layer transfer is used to transfer the germanium material, along with some residual GaAs, to a receiver substrate. The residual GaAs may be then removed by selective etching, with the boundary between the GaAs and the germanium material providing an etch stop.

  • Publication number: 20140365887
Abstract: Embodiments presented herein provide techniques for generating a collage of multimedia (e.g., visual and auditory media) based on data associated with a user. The collage may be used as an audio/visual messaging sharing vehicle. A platform engine receives user profile information and a selection of a performance mode from a client device. The platform engine generates a set of calls for user action prompts (e.g., questions or other requests for input) based on the selected performance mode and user information. The platform engine sends the set of prompts to the client device, and upon receiving responses to the prompts from the client device, the platform engine correlates the responses and the user profile information with media items in the media library. Based on the correlation, the platform engine generates the multimedia collage and sends the collage to the client device.
