  • Patent number: 8672120
Abstract: The present invention is a wireway for a conveyor system which is integrally molded into the sideguard of the conveyor system. The sidewall, or sideguard, has both an inner wall and an outer wall, and there is an intermediate wall connected to both the inner wall and outer wall. The inner wall, outer wall, and intermediate wall form an upper passage and a lower passage which function as a wireway in which wires are fed through and connect to various components of the conveyor system.

  • Patent number: 8671154
Abstract: The disclosure describes systems and methods delivering communications based on contextual addresses. An address string containing two or more identifiers, which may not be unique identifiers, and at least one conditional operator are provided as the address for a message or communication. The system identifies contextual relationships between a plurality of entities based on prior communications between the entities over the network. Based the contextual relationships, each identifier in the address string is disambiguated to identify one of the entities as a recipient and any associated delivery conditions controlling the delivery of the communication. The communication is then delivered to the identified recipient in accordance with the delivery condition.

  • Patent number: 8655647
Abstract: Described is a technology by which a statistical N-gram (e.g., language) model is trained using an N-gram selection technique that helps reduce the size of the final N-gram model. During training, a higher-order probability estimate for an N-gram is only added to the model when the training data justifies adding the estimate. To this end, if a backoff probability estimate is within a maximum likelihood set determined by that N-gram and the N-gram's associated context, or is between the higher-order estimate and the maximum likelihood set, then the higher-order estimate is not included in the model. The backoff probability estimate may be determined via an iterative process such that the backoff probability estimate is based on the final model rather than any lower-order model. Also described is additional pruning referred to as modified weighted difference pruning.

  • Patent number: 8626694
Abstract: The disclosure describes systems and methods for disambiguating a non-unique identifiers of real world entities (RWEs) detected by a computing network by dynamically identifying relationships between RWEs known to the network. The relationships are determined based on social, spatial, temporal and logical information known about the RWEs based on the RWEs previous interactions with the network. These relationships are then used to generate a probability for each RWE that the non-unique identifier identifies that RWE. Based on the probabilities an RWE is selected and the proper network identifier may be used in place of the non-unique identifier.

  • Patent number: 8620838
Abstract: Techniques of line-searching to find a minimum value of a loss function l projected onto a line are disclosed, wherein the loss function l is continuous and piece-wise linear. One technique includes identifying points for at least one output derived from the loss function l at which the slope of the output changes, determining at least one derivative value for an initial point and at least one change in derivative value for at least some of the points using a processor, determining a cumulative reduction in loss for at least some of the points using at least one of the determined derivative values or at least one of the change in derivative values, and selecting a point corresponding to the minimum value of the loss function l based on the cumulative reduction in loss.

  • Publication number: 20130018650
Abstract: An intelligent selection system selects language model training data to obtain in-domain training datasets. The selection is accomplished by estimating a cross-entropy difference for each candidate text segment from a generic language dataset. The cross-entropy difference is a difference between the cross-entropy of the text segment according to the in-domain language model and the cross-entropy of the text segment according to a language model trained on a random sample of the data source from which the text segment is drawn. If the difference satisfies a threshold condition, the text segment is added as an in-domain text segment to a training dataset.

  • Patent number: 8307029
Abstract: The disclosure describes systems and methods delivering communications associated with delivery conditions in which the occurrence of the delivery condition is determined by monitoring information received from a plurality of sources via multiple communication channels. The message delivery systems allow messages to be delivered to any “Who, What, When, Where” from any “Who, What, When, Where” upon the detection of an occurrence of one or more “Who, What, When, Where” delivery conditions. A message (which may be any data object including text-based messages, audio-based message such as voicemail or other audio such as music or video-based prerecorded messages) is delivered in accordance with delivery conditions based on any available data, including topical, spatial, temporal, and/or social data.

  • Publication number: 20120188796
Abstract: Systems and methods for the coupling of power through an isolation transformer. The systems generally include a primary side electrically connectable to the primary winding of an isolation transformer, a secondary side electrically connectable to the secondary winding of the isolation transformer, a primary side switch sending power pulses to the secondary side, and a secondary side feedback circuit sending a feedback signal to the primary side. A pulse detector sends power pulses to the secondary side in response to the feedback signal, while a watchdog timer sends a power pulse to the secondary side if a feedback signal is not detected within a predetermined period of time. Secondary side circuits including a slow-start circuit and a wake circuit portion manage initialization and low-load operating power requirements, respectively.
