  • Patent number: 12246316
Abstract: An auto-pipetting apparatus includes a dispensing head with at least one pipetting tip mandrel having an elongated stud body with an insertion end. The at least one pipetting tip mandrel mates with a pipetting tip. A first adjustable seal, disposed on the elongated stud body, and a second adjustable seal, disposed on the elongated stud body, seal the pipetting tip mated to the at least one pipetting tip mandrel. The first adjustable seal defines a snub surface. The snub surface effects a substantially continuous circumferential contact seal with radially impinging contact between the pipetting tip and the at least one pipetting tip mandrel. The second adjustable seal is adjustable between a disengaged position and an engaged position and effects a releasable grip and another substantially continuous circumferential contact seal between the pipetting tip and the at least one pipetting tip mandrel around the pipetting tip.

  • Publication number: 20250070107
Abstract: An electrode can comprise a plurality of flexible longitudinal electroconductive protrusions which deform when pressed against a person's head. Proximal ends of the protrusions are adjacent to each other and have a first degree of curvature in a pre-deformation configuration. Proximal ends of the protrusions are apart from each other and have a second degree of curvature in a post-deformation configuration. The proximal-divergence of the ends of the protrusions enables them to slide between strands of hair to enable good electrical communication with the surface of the person's head.

  • Patent number: 12205231
Abstract: Disclosed herein is adjustable and/or modular augmented reality eyewear with a first viewing mode which optimizes a person's view of the real world and a second viewing mode which optimizes the person's view of virtual objects. The viewing mode is changed by moving a transflective mirror from a first location to a second location. The second location is closer to the center of the person's field of view than the first location. When the transflective mirror is in the person's field of view and reflects light from a display toward the person's eyes, then it displays a virtual object in the person's field of view.

  • Publication number: 20250017530
Abstract: Motion recognition clothing is smart clothing which measures changes in a person's body configuration and motion. In an example, a combination of upper-body and lower-body motion recognition clothing can measure changes in full-body configuration and motion. Selected body joints are each spanned by a plurality of flexible energy pathways. Each flexible energy pathway is in communication with an energy emitter and an energy receiver. Body joint movements deform the energy pathways, this deformation changes energy transmission through the energy pathways, and changes in energy transmission are then analyzed to measure body configuration and motion.

  • Publication number: 20240427157
Abstract: This invention is an optical structure with a plurality of movable reflective elements. These reflective elements have first configurations which allow transmission of environmental light. These reflective elements have second configurations which block (or reduce) transmission of environmental light and which reflect light from a virtual-object display toward a person's eye. This enables display of a relatively-opaque virtual object in an area of a person's field of view, while providing the person with a relatively-clear view of their environment in the rest of their field of view.

  • Publication number: 20240377316
Abstract: This invention is a smart ring with spectroscopic sensors. Changes in the spectrum of light which are caused by interaction with (e.g. reflection by or transmission through) matter are analyzed to get information about the composition of that matter. In an example, light emitters can direct light outward toward an environmental object to get information concerning the molecular composition of the object. In an example, light emitters can direct light inward toward the surface of a person's finger to measure one or more biometric parameters.
