Abstract: A trash can hoop retainer is provided for retaining trash bags in trash cans. Specifically, the retainer of the invention provides a clamping action against the upper portion of the trash bags, which upper portion in draped over the outside edge or rim of the trash can.The retainer is provided with means for engaging in rotatable, hinged relationship with one handle of the trash can. Means are provided on the retainer opposite the hinge side for engaging the rim of the trash can in clamping relationship.

Abstract: A handle for releasable attachment to a beverage can having a pull-tab is provided. The handle comprises an expansible, approximately C-shaped holder of resilient material having an upper portion, a downwardly depending shank portion and a lower portion. The upper portion includes a recess for receiving a free end of the pull-tab and a notch for gripping the edge of the top of the beverage can. A lower portion includes a notch for gripping an edge of the bottom of the beverage can.

Abstract: A toy, such as a bear, having movable appendages is provided with a huggable mechanism that, upon squeezing of the toy causes the appendages to simulate a hugging motion. The huggable mechanism comprises two spaced apart parallel plates maintained in position by a resilient material and hingedly positioned members extending from the plates.

Abstract: A refuse container is disclosed, which is suitable for ease in picking up leaves or other trash. The refuse container comprises a body defined by a front wall, two sidewalls and a rear wall, an open upper end and a lower portion. The front wall forms a scoop portion at its upper end. An accommodating lid, which includes a scoop means, is further provided. Finally, an elongated pivotally disposed handle on the rear wall is provided, which is suitable for pulling the refuse container while lying on its front wall. In such prone position, leaves or other debris may be easily scooped into the refuse container either directly or by means of the scoop portion formed in the lid.

Abstract: A toy doll (10), in particular, a toy bear, is provided with a bashful demeanor. The demeanor is enhanced by further providing the bear with apparatus for simulating blushing. The blushing effect is achieved by employing a face plate (12) which includes at least the cheek portions of the face, is tinted red, and transmits light. Illumination (24) is provided by lamps (24a, 24b) behind the face plate. The lamps are activated by a power source (18), such as at least one battery. A variable resistor (38) controls the amount of power to the lamps. The variable resistor is activated by pressing in on the back area (40) and/or the abdominal area (16); the greater the pressure, the more current supplied to the lamps and hence the greater the intensity of light.
