  • Patent number: 10492467
Abstract: A grooming device includes hair collectors and a scraper. The scraper uncovers the hair collectors when the device is pressed down for use, and scrapes the hair collectors to eject hair collected when the device is released. Ejection of collected hair can also be controlled manually. A collection chamber may be provided, and multiple combs may be mounted on a rotatable dowel that recede within the rotatable barrel, or with sliding plates around and offset from the dowel as the dowel is rotated. A door or window on a surface of the collection chamber can be opened to empty the chamber of collected hair.

  • Publication number: 20190170454
Abstract: Embodiments described in this specification are generally directed to a bolted hinge assembly for a waterbox cover (a “waterbox hinge assembly”). The waterbox hinge assembly generally does not require welding on the waterbox cover or the heat exchanger in an HVAC system (“HVAC unit” hereinafter). Further, the waterbox hinge assembly may be installable to the HVAC unit without removing the heat exchange fluids (e.g., water, refrigerant, etc.) from the HVAC unit. In some embodiments, the waterbox hinge assembly can be installed on an HVAC unit without removing any bolts from the waterbox cover. Once installed, the waterbox hinge assembly can be left in place so that it can be reused anytime the HVAC unit is serviced.

  • Patent number: 10307900
Abstract: A quick connect liner latch system assembly (QCLL). The QCLL latches each joint of a slick line deployed liner together quickly and easily. This system can set an anchor in an existing well bore at a shallow depth and run a new liner in the well with a slick line unit using the QCLL system. It is a safer operation for the workers and environment and cost savings to the operator. The QCLL has two main sections that are locked together to form the full QCLL. The upper and lowers sections are locked together using a body lock ring. The units are not threaded together, which eliminates the need for a conventional rig for installation. The QCLL is unique because the inside diameter (ID) of the latch can remain large enough to accommodate a standard liner wiper plug for the weight of the liner being run into the well.

  • Patent number: 10146554
Abstract: Systems and methods for specifying extended descriptor information in a device accessed using a communication interface are disclosed. One method includes transmitting a request to a device from a host computing system, and receiving an extended capability descriptor identifying to the host computing system at least one extended descriptor set stored on the device. The extended capability descriptor identifies a minimum operating system version able to support a corresponding extended descriptor set.

  • Publication number: 20180319276
Abstract: A transfer case for a normally rear wheel drive vehicle with selective four wheel drive capabilities is provided. The transfer case has an intermediate gear driven lubrication pump, wherein the machining required for the lubrication pump is almost exclusively conducted from an interior side of the rear shell. The transfer case of the present invention also eliminates the requirement for a cover plate for the pump and an external lubrication tube. The transfer case of the current invention has an internal lubrication pump outlet which has a portion extending in a reinforcing mound of the rear shell thereby providing greater stiffness to a portion of the rear shell supporting the main input shaft rear bearings.

  • Patent number: 10108597
Abstract: Described herein are mechanisms for automatically generating a computer-executable program that transforms a first table in a first format to a second table in a second format by way of user-provided examples. A user provides an exemplary input table of a first format, where the input table may be a portion of the first table. The user also provides an exemplary output table of a second format, wherein contents of the output table correspond to contents of the input table. Based upon these user-provided examples, a table transform program is automatically generated, wherein the table transform program, when executed over the first table generates the second table.

  • Patent number: 10052569
Abstract: A de-aerator for removing dissolved gasses from water in a water heating system and a water heating system comprising such a de-aerator are disclosed. The de-aerator includes a vessel defining a chamber for receiving water which has been heated by a primary water heater, an inlet through which water can be supplied into the chamber and an outlet through which the water can exit the chamber; and a vent through which gas can exit the chamber. A diameter of the chamber decreases in a direction from the inlet towards the outlet. The chamber side wall being curved and having a non-constant radius of curvature, the radius of curvature being smaller near the outlet than near the inlet, so that water supplied into the chamber is accelerated as it flows from the inlet towards the outlet, to thereby promote de-aeration of the water. De-aeration gasses exit the chamber through the vent.

  • Patent number: 10045310
Abstract: Example implementations relate to detecting human presence in proximity of a user device. In example implementations, a portion of a first signal may be provided by a first directional coupler that is communicatively coupled to an antenna. A portion of a second signal may be provided by a second directional coupler that is communicatively coupled to a signal source. Transmit power of the signal source may be regulated based on the signal portions provided by the first and second directional couplers.

  • Publication number: 20180164393
Abstract: A pH-weighted chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) method and system are provided that works by indirectly measuring the NMR signal from amine protons found on the backbones of amino acids and other metabolites, which resonate at a frequency of +2.8-3.2 ppm with respect to bulk water protons. The technique uses a modified magnetization transfer radiofrequency saturation pulse for the generation of image contrast. A train of three 100 ms Gaussian pulses at high amplitude (6 uT) or Sinc3 pulses are played at a particular frequency off-resonance from bulk water prior to a fast echo planar imaging (EPI) readout, with one full image acquired at each offset frequency. This non-invasive pH-weighted MRI technique does not require exogenous contrast agents and can be used in preclinical investigations and clinical monitoring in patients with malignant glioma, stroke, and other ailments.
