  • Publication number: 20150145919
Abstract: In one embodiment, a device for a printer includes a movable tray for supporting a print media. The tray is movable between an open position in which media may be moved on to the tray and a closed position in which media is blocked from moving on to the tray. The device also includes a rotatable media drive component for moving print media on to the tray and a movable restraint operatively connected to the tray. The restraint is movable between: a first position, corresponding to the open position of the tray, in which the restraint does not restrain the media drive component; and a second position, corresponding to the closed position of the tray, in which the restraint restrains rotation of the media drive component.

  • Publication number: 20150083077
Abstract: First intake valve and second intake valve for an engine cylinder bore within which a piston reciprocates are arranged side-by-side in a cylinder head for motion in unison along respective intake valve axes. First intake valve axis is nonparallel to the cylinder bore axis. A first intake valve seat for the first intake valve is disposed in a plane which is non-parallel to a plane which is perpendicular to the cylinder bore axis. First intake valve seat has a first semi-circumference toward a second semi-circumference of a second valve seat for second intake valve. At least a portion of first semi-circumference is closer, as measured along a direction parallel to the cylinder bore axis, to a plane passing through the piston perpendicular to the cylinder bore axis than is the second semi-circumference as measured along a direction parallel to the cylinder bore axis.

  • Patent number: 8948189
Abstract: A process for scheduling reservation requests among a plurality of nodes on a network, includes examining a level of network communication activity of a first node to determine whether the first node is active; allocating a reservation request to the first node, but only if the first node is determined to be active; and repeating the process of examining and allocating for one or more subsequent nodes on the network. In one embodiment, the process can utilize thresholds to determine whether a network device is active and the thresholds can be based on, for example, recent network activity for the node being evaluated.

  • Patent number: 8941234
Abstract: A method includes preparing a bonding surface of a heat dissipating member, applying flux to the bonding surface of the heat dissipating member, and removing excess flux from the bonding surface so that minimal flux is provided. The method also includes preparing a die surface of an electronic device package, applying flux to the die surface, and removing excess flux from the die surface so that minimal flux is provided. The method further includes positioning a preform solder component on the die surface, positioning the heat dissipating member over the die surface and the preform solder component such that the flux layer of the bonding surface is in contact with the preform solder component, and reflowing the solder component using a reflow oven. A heat spreader is also described for use in the process.

  • Patent number: 8849969
Abstract: A method is disclosed for optimizing a network that is formed from a plurality of nodes. The NC node of the network compiles an order that the plurality of nodes perform a probing operation. The order is typically round robin. The NC node receives a request from a client that identifies a next node to perform the probing operation. Based on the request, the NC node changes the order so that the next node performs the probing operation after the current node that is performing the probing operation has completed the operation.
