  • Publication number: 20230111569
Abstract: Apparatus involved with but not limited to a telescoping trekking pole with attachments for holding in place sporting gear, including a rifle. A magnet may be disposed near the upper end of the trekking pole assembly and may magnetically receive a barrel of a rifle, while a protrusion extending laterally some distance down the trekking pole assembly may receive the butt of a stock of a rifle. Telescoping lengths of a trekking pole allow a trekking pole to be adjusted in length to accommodate a user's height and/or the length of a rifle to be held by a trekking pole, and for a trekking pole to be reduced in length for portability and storage. Additional elements, such as handles and rings, may be disposed on a trekking pole to allow additional surfaces for gripping or hanging additional sporting gear, respectively.

  • Patent number: 11608708
Abstract: An apparatus, a system and a process may be used for regulating a wellhead control mechanism. The apparatus may control actuation of the wellhead control mechanism by moving a moveable body of the apparatus between a first position and a second position. When the apparatus is in the first position, a valve actuator is actuatable. When the apparatus is in the second position the valve actuator is physically interfered from actuating. Additionally, when the apparatus is in the second position, the wellhead control mechanism cannot be actuated and is held in either an open, a partially open or a closed position. Further, a system may directly control an actuation of a wellhead actuation mechanism.

  • Patent number: 11611616
Abstract: Techniques are described for providing service availability zones for computing-related services provided by a cloud provider network. According to some embodiments, the use of service availability zones enables users to achieve greater availability assurance for workloads sensitive to downtime or outages. The sensitivity of such workloads to downtime may be due to financial, regulatory, safety, or other reasons. Such availability-sensitive applications may in some cases be configured to run in multiple regions of a cloud provider network to increase their availability compared to running in a single availability zone. However, for some applications, the implementation of an application across multiple regions may not be feasible or desirable. The use of service availability zones provides user-visible fault domains within a single region of a cloud provider network, thereby enabling users to readily and reliably achieve application layer availability of approximately 99.

  • Patent number: 11596383
Abstract: A 3D ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system produces 3D display images at a 3D frame rate of display which is equal to the acquisition rate of a 3D image dataset. The volumetric region being imaged is sparsely sub-sampled by separated scanning beams. Spatial locations between the beams are filled in with interpolated values or interleaved with acquired data values from other 3D scanning intervals depending upon the existence of motion in the image field. A plurality of different beam scanning patterns are used, different ones of which have different spatial locations where beams are located and beams are omitted. In a preferred embodiment the determination of motion and the consequent decision to use interpolated or interleaved data for display is determined on a pixel-by-pixel basis.

  • Publication number: 20230010120
Abstract: Devices and methods for generating energy (e.g., electrical energy) from wind. A preferred form is directed to a wind charger that creates energy from wind to be directed to a source needing the created energy, e.g., one or more batteries. The batteries can be used to power any device including but not limited to devices in homes needing energy and/or devices that transport one or more persons over land, in the air or over water. Preferably, a mounting assembly optimally positions one or more elements generating electrical energy from wind relative to direction of wind to maximize the electrical energy generated by wind.

  • Patent number: 11542634
Abstract: A non-woven fiber article for use in a food, medical, or pharmaceutical production environment including a melt-spun polymer fiber is provided having a cross-section and a length and a detectable particulate present in an amount of 20 to 80 weight percent loadings of metal or 10 to 80 weight percent loadings of radiopaque particles to render the polymer fiber detectable by magnetic or X-ray detection, alone or in combination with a secondary functional particulate distributed with the polymer fiber to render the polymer fiber chemically responsive to a chemical reactant, change in pH or temperature. The detectable particulate and the secondary functional particulate are each independently present in a core, a sheath, or both portions of polymer matrix. A process of detecting a fabric made from such a fiber. The fabric article passes through detector. A signal is collected from the detector indicative of the presence of the fabric article.
