  • Publication number: 20110302493
Abstract: An apparatus and method for shuffling a media file in a playlist. A first playlist order of a plurality of media files is created for displaying a plurality of icons corresponding to one of the plurality of media files. The plurality icons are arranged according to the first playlist order on the display. Upon receiving a request for a second playlist order a second playlist order is created. While displaying the plurality of icons in the first playlist order, movement of at least two icons on the display is shown between a first position and a second position, wherein the first position corresponds to the first playlist order and the second position corresponds to the second playlist order.

  • Publication number: 20110245712
Abstract: In a method of monitoring pulmonary edema in a human being, an electrical current is injected between a first electrode located in or around a heart and a housing of a medical device implanted in a chest region. A voltage potential is measured between a second electrode in a superior vena cava and a third electrode in the superior vena cava, where the voltage potential is created by the electrical current. Pulmonary edema is assessed based on an impedance value calculated from the electrical current and the voltage potential and a stored edema threshold impedance value.

  • Publication number: 20110201388
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer-readable medium is disclosed for prominent selection cues for icons. When an icon is in focus, and after expiration of a predetermined period of time, the icon can be displayed more prominently, e.g., display a larger representation of the icon, thereby increasing the icon's visibility. The icon can be displayed more prominently after the icon remains in focus for a predetermined amount of time. This functionality can be advantageous in applications having limited display area, such as on portable media players and mobile devices. Accordingly, the smaller display area of such devices is used more effectively by using prominent selection cues for navigating and displaying information.

  • Publication number: 20110199322
Abstract: Methods and devices are described pertaining to graphical user interfaces that enable users to manage and play their media content on a portable electronic device. For example, a method is described in which a first source icon associated with a first set of media selections is displayed and a second source icon associated with a second set of media selections is also displayed. In addition, a first function icon indicative of a first function is superimposed on the first source icon, and a second function icon indicative of a second function is superimposed on the second source icon. A selection input associated with either of the first source icon or the second source icon is received and the first function is executed when the selection input is associated with the first icon, and the second function is executed when the selection input is associated with the second icon.

  • Publication number: 20100030200
Abstract: An intravascular implant delivery system carries an implant by retaining an engagement member engaging the implant in a position proximal of an aperture at a distal end of the delivery system. The engagement member is retained proximal to the aperture by a cord that obstructs the movement of the engagement member through the aperture. The engagement member is free to rotate and move within an area defined by the delivery system, allowing the implant to react to forces imparted to the implant by the movement of the delivery system and implant through a delivery catheter. Once the implant is in a desired implant position, the cord is moved away from an aperture and the engagement member is allowed to move away from the delivery system.

  • Publication number: 20090310337
Abstract: A light-emitting display system has interlocking tiles. In an implementation, each tile has a portion of a clamp that joins with another portion of the clamp on another tile. A tile is removed from the display by unlocking the clamp portions. The tile is removed without affecting the position of the other tiles in the display.

  • Publication number: 20090309494
Abstract: A light-emitting display system has an alignment mechanism to align or angle light-emitting tiles of the display. A first tile connects to a second tile by joining a first clamp portion on the first tile with a second clamp portion on the second tile. In an implementation, the alignment mechanism includes a replaceable angle adjustment insert that is inserted into at least one of the clamp portions, such as the first clamp portion. When the first and second clamp portions are joined, a surface of the second clamp portion presses against the insert and a desired angle between the first and second tile is formed. The insert can have any angle so that any desired angle can be formed between the first and second tiles.

  • Patent number: 7447543
Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring impedance for pathology assessment in a living being using convergent bioelectric lead fields is disclosed, including injecting a current between first and second electrodes implanted in a body of a living being, where the first and second electrodes define a first electric lead field oriented between the first and second electrodes. A potential difference is measured between third and fourth electrodes implanted in the body, where the potential difference results from the current injected between the first and second electrodes. The third and fourth electrodes define a second electric lead field oriented between the third and fourth electrodes. The first and second electric lead fields converge near an assessment site within the body, but are substantially separated otherwise. An impedance value is calculated based on the potential difference and the current injection, and is used to assess a pathology near the assessment site.

  • Publication number: 20080228216
Abstract: This invention is directed to an implant having a coil for embolizing a vascular site, such as aneurysm. The coil has a specific three-dimensional shape that is achieved by winding the coil around a mandrel in a specific pattern and then heat setting the coil and the mandrel, another aspect of the invention. The three-dimensional shape resembles unclosed mobius loops. Also provided are methods of making the coil and methods of embolizing vascular site.

  • Publication number: 20080228215
Abstract: This invention is directed to implantable coils and, more particularly, to a coil implant having a stretch-resistant member internal to the coil. The implant of the invention is able to freely articulate and torque prior to delivery. Once delivered, the implant is no longer stretch resistant and is therefore able to substantially conform to the vascular site.
