  • Patent number: 8103755
Abstract: An administration system is defined that provides an interface between a subscriber and resources on a provider network. The subscriber, via the administration system, has access to and control over certain of the resources on the provider network. The subscriber may have access to and control over only those resources on the provider network related to the services provided to his network. Also, the subscriber may not be capable of altering resources on the provider network in a way that affects the services provided to another subscriber. Because the administration system allows a user to control resources on the provider network that relate to services provided to his network, the amount of support required by the provider to administer those resources is reduced.

  • Patent number: 8087088
Abstract: A system provides for fuzzy classification in comparisons of scanner responses. A web application test suite performs tests against a web application by sending client requests from a testing computer to the server running the web application and checking how the web application responds. A thorough web application security scan might involve thousands of checks and responses. As a result, some sort of programmatic analysis is needed. One such evaluation involves comparing one response against another. Response matching that compares two HTTP responses might use fuzzy classification processes.

  • Publication number: 20110207995
Abstract: A power management system provides wireless power to operate components of a remotely adjustable gastric banding system. The power management system comprises an external power component transmitting power, and an implantable power management component receiving power and converting the power for use in powering one or more components of the remotely adjustable gastric banding system, such as a pump. The internal power management component and the external power component may be tunable. By utilizing the power management system, implantable batteries may be eliminated.

  • Patent number: 8001271
Abstract: A system is provided that polls one or more caching nameservers and compares their results to a trusted or standard set of data. The set of data may be, for example, stored in a computer system or distributed among several computer systems. In one aspect, the system comprises a discrepancy detector that detects discrepancies between one or more copies of mapping information. Mapping information may be, for example, mapping stored on a Domain Name System (DNS).

  • Publication number: 20110146079
Abstract: A novel razor cartridge includes at least one non-cutting element disposed anywhere within a blade array between a guard and a cap and/or in a blade position of a frame providing skin/hair management. This non-cutting element allows the fine-tuning of parameters such as blade-skin contact, hair orientation, blade spans and rinse-through gaps in manners that improve shaving comfort, closeness, efficiency, and/or rinse-ability. The non-cutting element may include projections, fin-like elements, comb-like features having teeth, exfoliation or lubricating capabilities. By having a fixed non-cutting element disposed midway in a blade array, a multi-stage cartridge is provided with a middle control point with potentially different functionality before and after the non-cutting element. The non-cutting element is not attached to another blade in the blade array though it may be manufactured as a modified blade support, attached to a blade support, or as part of the frame or the clips.

  • Publication number: 20100270803
Abstract: An irrigation power system is provided for use with a conventional irrigation conduit having water flow therethrough as a source of hydro energy. In order to convert the hydro energy of the water flow to electrical energy, a power generation module is provided along the irrigation conduit. The electrical energy provided by the power generation module is then provided to a power conditioner to alter the electrical energy to produce a predetermined current. The predetermined current is then sent to a storage device for later use. An irrigation system component then communicates with the storage device to receive electrical power for selective operation of the component.

  • Publication number: 20090294283
Abstract: Cell frame for high-pressure water electrolyzer and method of manufacturing the same. According to one embodiment, radial openings in a water electrolyzer frame are provided by laminating half-frames, one or both of which contains grooves that may be formed by molding, machining or die-cutting. Another to another embodiment, radial openings are provided by laminating three or more thin frame portions, the center piece of which may include transverse slots that may be made by molding, machining or die-cutting. According to yet another embodiment, two or more frame portions are provided, at least one of which includes a recess for receiving a porous structure. The frames of the present invention can be additionally laminated to the membrane and electrode assembly, as well as the bipolar separator plate in the perimeter or seal area, comprised of the same or similar material as the frame, to form unitized electrolyzer stack subassemblies or full assemblies.

  • Patent number: 7467402
Abstract: A web application security scanner (WASS) includes a login manager configured to perform an automated login to a web site. The automated login may be performed when the login manager detects that a login session has ended. The login manager is configured to determine credentials for the web site to allow the WASS to access the web site. The WASS may then use the credentials to continue scanning the web site. Thus, previously unscannable web pages may be accessed in the web site because of the automated login process.

  • Patent number: 7431060
Abstract: The present invention is a system and method for the automatic control of a debarking system for use in a chip mill, paper mill, or the like. The present invention comprises one or more programmable logic controllers (PLCs) that receive input from ultrasonic sensors that measure the quantity of wood present at various locations within the system. Based on this data, the PLCs reference look-up tables that contain information on start, stop, speed up, and slow down times for various system components based on such criteria as wood variety and season. The control system optimizes the fiber yield from the debarking system while also reducing mechanical wear on components of the system by reducing the time at which components are run at high speed.

  • Publication number: 20080021740
Abstract: As patient video images are captured in a lab, they are converted into an uncompressed data set and stored locally on a hospital site server, where they are immediately viewable by diagnosticians in the hospital. The hospital site server generates a plurality of compressed data sets for use by the Internet Data Center. Additionally, the uncompressed data set and a plurality of compressed data sets are stored permanently on a centralized Internet Data Center, from which they can be searched out and displayed by any client device running web-browser software. A client is provided with immediate access to the uncompressed images when pausing and requesting the images of interest from the server. The patient video images are automatically delivered to any authorized Clinical Research Organizations, they are delivered back to the treating hospital when the patient returns for subsequent visits, and are viewable through in-hospital viewing stations over a private high-speed network.
